Chicken Tikka? I think you mean Chiquitita if you mean the ABBA song.

From thence the humour arose

End of part 1? Got another part to come yet?

What makes you think that?

At least we had one song around half past eight: Annie Lennox "Lean On Me". Why can't we have more music? They have loads on CIN night in November. RND night would be so much better with more music acts in the studio and less of the other tommy rot.

Its Comic Relief. What was so funny about the Annie Lennox bit? I do agree it would be nice to have more things in the studio and less clips though.

That malaria film they have just shown (not the Fearne Cotton one) was unusual - no celebrity host and I don't think a celebrity voiceover - but used very nice graphics. More effective for me, with no famous face or voice to distract from the message of the film.

The fact that she murdered it?

I mean for goodness' sake, when I went to Africa, I wrote a song, couldn't she at least do that?

Can't believe people are sat spending their night picking faults with a charity event! Laughing

I always find there is no middle ground with these French and Saunders sketches - they're either really really good, or really really not. Wouldn't surprise me that we'll see their "comeback" on a Comic Relief show not too far in the future.

One other observation - is it just me or is the main stage in the studio really small?

A moving film.

I am pleased at the use of music on tonight's show myself - using it as a breather between films and normal business.

£9million from Sainsbury's - surely the biggest corporation donation to a telethon ever? Now almost £30 million in total. Incredible.

Latest total £29,748,187.

Funny how they've managed to amass that total already, and it's only 21:35, yet CIN night last year it took them till 2am Saturday to hit £20 million odd.

Why does RND always end up with a final total small hours of Saturday morning MUCH HIGHER than CIN?

Well it's all good PR.

Will this James Boredom sketch ever end?

The Corden sketch is funny, was actually worth waiting for, even if Beckham couldn't keep a straight face throughout.

Well at last that England Footballers stuff is over. It was about as enjoyable as watching paint dry.
