Ha ha, you're using TV channel code speak now!
Just before 10pm, I think they were simulcasting on BBC One and BBC Two. That happened again for about a minute after TOTP. In fact when TOTP ended, I turned from BBC Two to BBC One, and back to BBC Two to prove the point. About a minute later BBC Two went on to something else altogether, and it was just BBC One continuing with Comic Relief.

Don't think it's too professional - some of the live segments I've seen have been a bit dodgily directed - and are they going to wheel out the climbers at every opportunity?
TT, what do you think will happen on the crossover from B1 to B2?

There seemed to be
much
more focus on the UK side of the charity this year. Which is the only positive thing I can say. Very poor show IMO. Where the hell was the comedy!? No real standout moment(s), too much music and (mostly) awful presenters. I offered to donate £500 if someone punched Davina in the face - sadly it didn't happen.
It worked for them though. It seems the worse the show gets the more money they make so I expect it will all be the same in 2011.

I thought they were a great opener to the show. I've had people text me who never watch the show usually praising them. And I'm hoping Tennant chooses to do it every time, regardless of not being The Doctor by then.
Absolutely, he came across as very comfortable in the presenting role. Many of the actors/comedians who have had a go at presenting on Comic Relief in the past have seemed wooden or over the top. I could see a Saturday night live show format presented by David Tennant working very well.
By the way, anybody think those regional opt outs at 8pm were just done because they could, as there would have been people around in the regional centres to do the 8pm headlines anyway?

Oh hilarious
Why not just donate the £500 anyway, seeing as you were going to for needless violence why not just donate it because it goes to a good cause anyway?

I wouldn't say there was too much music - most was shunted to BBC2, though amazing the official single from Nessa and Bryn didn't get a single airing during the BBC1 shows. They should have held back the video for the night really.
Completely agree though the one thing missing was the live comedy. On one of the build up shows they put an emphasis on how it was one of the few places to see live comedy on TV, but by my reckoning there were just two pieces during the entire night - the Nan sketch and Jason Manford. They definately played it safe this year.
The Apprentice needs to be pulled next time around, or at least go back to them actually raising cash for Comic Relief. Around half an hour of the show was devoted to them firing someone last night - would have been much better to have that in the original show on the Thursday and put the time to better use on the Friday.
£57m is amazing though, but I do think Comic Relief care a bit more about putting on a good show so will be more responsive to feedback, unlike Children in Need who seem to take the "it's for charity" approach, which makes any dross acceptable.

Did Lenny even present anything this year? Or was he just in the "give money" clips?

My God they made £57 million!!
To make that much during a recession is incredible. The TV this year wasn't vintage but had it's moments. Some of the pairings were odd as well. They should just have comedians host and for me nothing has ever bettered the originial hosts of Lenny Henry, Griff Rhys Jones and Jonathan Ross.

Well as far as I'm concerned there was no where near enough music between 7pm and midnight. I watched till midnight. The only decent music slot was TOTP on BBC2. Why couldn't there have been more live music performances through then night on BBC1, just like Children In Need night?
In RND 2011 I want to see more music and less tommy rot (Harry Hill, Victorian Dragon's Den etc). Also a decent regional slot - presented live - just like on CIN.
In 2005 they had "Amarillo" with the video sometime between 7pm and 10pm. It was repeated later, then there was a final performance with sing a long lyrics right at the end. Nothing like that this time, why not?
People have said about my lack of humour. Well as far as I'm concerned, fun need not be yuck (COMIC relief or not). The viewing public deserved better.
How come RND 09 raised £57 millions on the night, whereas Children In Need raised £20 millions odd on the night last November? Someone has said Red Nose Day is two yearly, rather than yearly, but stll they made more in one night than was made in Children In Need Night 2007 and 2008 added together.

Because and, try and understand this: it's Comic Relief.
It's not Music Relief.
It's not Tumble Tower presents Children in Need 2 on B1.
It's Comic Relief: a night of comedy designed to raise money for good causes.
