If I have to be critical I thought the worst part was Al Murray - where was that going?

Ricky Gervais very funny but nothing from Rowan Atkinson this year which was unusual.

But in all seriousness, it's done brilliantly and well done to all involved. I guess it's overrunning?

i dont rate many of the sketches very highly, the one with the England team was particularly bad IMO. Now Over £54 Million

The thing that annoyed me about the England team sketch, was that as a team they didn't donate a single penny. When the total we all raise tonight wont even come to half their salaries.

1am now and dancers are on. Sure it's not November is it?

Yes outnumbered was one of the better ones.

Mitchell, Webb Miller.... was really bad
Little Brittan sketches didnt work well with Tate
Bringing the "how many swear words can we get into 5 mins granny wasnt very amusing.
Al Murray's bit was also pointless

However good to see Davina and Fern etc showing they actually have some feelings. But the Davina and Dr Who partnership was cringeworthy.

Well done to all those raising money for the worthwile causes though!

I have to say I think it's been a very slick production. Definitely more pluses than minuses. The atmosphere seems great, and there's been a nice mix of presenters.

Highlight for me has to be TOTP, which had a great feel to it. Bring it back!!

I thought they were a great opener to the show. I've had people text me who never watch the show usually praising them. And I'm hoping Tennant chooses to do it every time, regardless of not being The Doctor by then.

The ad-libbed stuff Davina and David did such as Mastermind was great, but the scripted material wasn't as good.

At long last, some stand-up!

A shame that Lenny doesn't seem to be doing anything in the studio this year - and that his main film for the year didn't air until after 1am (I don't recall it being shown earlier).

Possibly because we haven't really had the big matriarchs in studio (as of yet) - i.e. Lenny Henry, French and Saunders but I guess they're trying to modernise the format appeal more this year.

I'm not sure Matriarch is really a word you could use for Lenny Henry! Laughing

My God they made £57 million!! Shocked

To make that much during a recession is incredible. The TV this year wasn't vintage but had it's moments. Some of the pairings were odd as well. They should just have comedians host and for me nothing has ever bettered the originial hosts of Lenny Henry, Griff Rhys Jones and Jonathan Ross.
