Comic Relief Does Fame Academy

Not sure whether it's been used before, but just aired a version of BBC One's Hippo ident with two of the hippos wearing red noses, clever way of getting it into an ident.

Somehow I can't believe your username on this forum as obviously you haven't seen the red-nosed hippos before every single Fame Academy last week!

Sorry to keep on about it but what is it with Tara Palmer Tomkinson? WHY do people like her and think "shes becoming a national institution" (as said on BBC3)? Somebody please tell me because it seems I'm the only one who doesn't.

I agree entirely. If she's classed as a national institution, then she's in the grouping as David Attenborough, David Jason etc etc. Don't think so somehow. I haven't got the foggiest why she's liked. I put her in the same mould as Jade Goody; god-awfully annoying and famous for ..... er..... well, give us a moment.

True, not as much of a fan as I once was due to having to pay the bills nowadays, and I haven't seen many idents, only caught the programme in the middle of it.

Everyone is bowing down to her like she's some kind of goddess. That annoys me in the highest.

Kielty in trouble for 'big gayer' comment



I thought this would get complaints when I saw it at the weekend, although its important to remember that it only got around 15 complaints even though it was watched by 5.9 million viewers, including Graham Norton who was in the studio audience.

Talking of Mr. Norton, its interesting that Kielty's more subtle gay joke went by without comment. I recorded the show on Sky+ and meant to keep it for when this story broke but I forgot to mark it as keep so this transcript is paraphrased.

How the hell does Ray Stubbs keep getting through- he CANNOT sing! He sounds *?#*!

This programme along with Just the two of us really is embarrasingly awful- and no I don't watch either of them, they're just on in the background.

Also, the presenters have the most annoying voices ever

Haha, Ray Stubbs just sounds like Final Score everytime he sings. He could sing "Man Utd 5 and Blackburn Nil" and nobody would tell the difference.

Right I'm now tempted to buy a large megaphone, attach it to the roof of my car (election campaign style) and drive around the whole of the British Isles shouting ...
