Some not so knowns, but quite a good line up. Celebs aimed at the sort of people who'll be watching the show.

Has Linda Robson actually acted in anything since 'Birds Of A Feather' ended? Like Rowland Riveron she seems to have made Reality TV her career now and pops up on every show going.

Why is it compulsory that all charity telethons have to have an associated celebrity reality tv series thesedays, they managed ok without them before

Does Comic Relief still have the power to get the celebs to do these for free then - or have they had to resort to paying them like every other celeb reality show?

Personally they've done Fame Academy twice - no need for them to do it again IMO. I hate the way how in the press on the day they focus more on who will win Fame Academy than the telethon itself!

Also, isn't there supposed to be a Celebrity Apprentice aswell - not spotted that in the schedules at all. Perhaps it's just going to air during the telethon.

P.S. Pretty pointless bringing in Claudia Winkleman to replace Cat Deeley IMO. Cat always seemed to have such a small role on Fame Academy it was hardly worth it, si I think they'd be better off allow Patrick Kielty to host alone.

The timeslot isn't very good for the show. It is on at 7pm and usually up against Corrie or Emmerdale i guess?

Oh ffs! What is that coked-up bint [said allegedly for legal reasons] doing on this?! She's Queen of the pointless wasters, really is. Evil or Very Mad

The only person I'm looking forward to seeing is Barry off EastEnders. Very Happy

To be honest they're a lot more sophisticated now than the glory days of the ITV Telethon 87 when Cannon and Ball and Su Pollard went round the studio audience shaking a yellow bucket interspersed with awkward and stilted links to the ITV regions to see a bunch of news readers wearing wacky T-shirts.

The Fame Academy format is so dated!!!

Thank god it only appears for Celebrity Specials now a days! The show would die on its ar*e if it just has 'regular' people on it!
