I think it's been quite good so far this year.

I'd welcome Tumble Tower's views on tonight's proceedings.

It hasn't been too bad so far. The studio is very nice. And there are a lot more comedians presenting.

No Boogie Beebies yet!

I think the Jessie J bit was a bit of a waste really. Surely the point of doing something like that is to get sponsorship, not just turn up on a TV show. Unlike the other stuff it wasn't really entertaining either

Loved the Ed Milliband bit.

I thought Alex Jones, Chris Evans and maybe even Matt Baker would have been on by now. To be honest, I would have preferred to see The One Show at 19:00 going straight in to Comic Relief - Funny for Money at 19:30.

Anyway, it sounds like Peter Simon might be coming up soon. They will need to put his bit on before he starts on Bid at 22:00 or they will split the audience.

In the Peter Kay segment now, there were some odd motivational clips from Daybreak and Sky News, which seemed an odd choice.

Overall, it hasn't been that bad so far.

Odd regional segment for Comic Relief.

I thought that was a Children in Need only thing?

Anyone know which regions exactly didn't get the right VT?

I remember a previous Comic Relief regional segment in 2009. In the SE, the then weather presenter Nazaneen Ghaffar went across the region looking at fundraising efforts.

Watching the London version, it was just highlights of a Comic Relief stand-up event with the usual names.

Peter Kay bit was quite poor. Not nearly enough of Peter Simon either.

The Peter Kay seemed a bit of a metaphor for his career really, I wonder if that was his intention?

Wasn't the regional bit a joke? (albeit a not funny one)

HD got some old segments with Russell Brand

That was the London opt. In the South East we just got a meaningless montage of clips. They should either do a proper regional opt or not do it at all. What was the point in it?
