Looks like the people who make the Comet ads on TV are about as clued up as their staff when it comes to technology as apparently you may need to upgrade your washing powder to receive Freeview:

It doesn't give much hope for people complaining about the spelling on here, when a national company can let a typo like that through the net, does it?

The customer purchase contract with Comet I'd imagine. Warranty and guarantee and all that.

I think we're getting back on track. If the government were really serious about it, they could easily start the switch off tomorrow, although people wouldn't be best impressed. The longer they wait, the greater the number of people that will get Freeview and the easier it will be to switch off analogue... well, that's the theory! I still think it's ridiculous that televisions and VCRs don't come with a digital tuner as standard.

Anyone who thinks Linda Barker needs shooting say... Aye!

There's a poster at Bank Station on the London Underground for Barclays Bank which states:

" 80,000 people live in London (or was it "The City"?).
400,00 people work there. " (Yes, I know - I thought it must be in the millions).

How could that get through technical and marketing reviews and into print on wall-length posters? Rolling Eyes
