Nothing changed on the website, checked it a few times yesterday.

The creative director of the idents Russell Hayer has posted some test videos onto his website, probably the same as the ones before, but more importantly some interesting presentation shots, as well as business cards.

The website shows the other pres elements as using the old logo. Could this be a simple as the designers not realising that the idents don't match the promo end boards and stings?

has anyone contacted ComCen yet about this?

Maybe the reports got the date wrong? Digital Spy isn't the most reliable source of news.

1st July would have made sense though, MTV made the change that day...

I sent a message to Russell Hoyer the producer of the new idents. I asked if the new look has been cancelled since no new idents appeared yesterday. Here is what he had to say ''Hi There I'm not aware the IDs have been canceled - I'm going to find out though!'' So we should know whats going on soon.

Still haven't found out if the new look is cancelled. Digital Spy might have got the date wrong. I can see how they might have got the date wrong, instead of the 1st of the month, the first Monday of the month? I guess we will find out at 9am.

It rebranded to Comedy Central on a Monday at 9pm, so I think that's the only possibility left.

I hope Comedy Central Extra has its own idents.

The concept behind the new idents isn't bad at all but they're really let down by the execution.

Having the letters burst into public places like a flashmob would be fun, or maybe packed into a crowded tube carriage, or piling down a water slide in a crowded park. Or even have the letters being ordered out of The Apollo theatre for being too rowdy.

But as it is, it's just a bunch of dressed-up extras dicking around on an empty road.
