Comedy Central UK

Looks like Comedy Central is getting the new logo, as well as (finally!) some new idents that fully represent Comedy Central. The old ones had been used since 2007, and by now didn't really fit the more upmarket image I believe Comedy Central has been starting to push for the last year or so, as a channel that is to be taken seriously with decent new content, not just repeats.

Like the way they have not gone with the USA look.

Was it not 2009 When the channel become Comedy central? I sure there Forth bridge one was brand new one just with the past year.

It does look alright the new idents,

I wouldn't say the new idents are "up market" - and if that's the direction they're going I wouldn't say Friends is the best acquisition.

Funny too how a couple of the stills focus more on the CENTRAL than the COMEDY. Indeed they could almost be unseen clips from "What Carlton did next."

I actually like the current look and logo. The fairly recent refresh looks pretty smart.

A little surprised they haven't adopted the US logo, right enough.

Don't really see the point of this rebrand, from the pictures the current idents look far better. I dread to see the logo on its own, its a very bland font - didn't think I would ever say this but it looks even worse than the US copyright style logo.

Wow, they'd better have an unbelievably good surrounding package in the bag because that looks an incredibly boring concept for a set of idents.

And yep it was still good ol' Paramount up to 2009.

Yes they used the US typeface but its missing the two interlocking c letters, I would have had the people dressed as 'central' wear the letters upside down to match the US logo and have the interlocking c letter logo appear onscreen for the last few seconds over the liveaction footage.

Maybe, but there's no sign of the logo.

It's a shame in a way that they're not going with the US branding as its very nice, butthen again the channel is very different over here
