No reason for CC not airing it in HD, unless it was a practical / technical. It was on a US broadcast network- there will be various quality rips of it doing the rounds on the internet a couple of hours later.

Would assume that as 'new' masters are being used, that there's a fresh canvas and that any edits applied would be new.
I wonder if these will contain the C4 edits or will be completely unedited?
