Wossy seems to be getting a lot of stick for his performance. I don't know if Craig Charles was approached, but he was apparently asked - and agreed - to do the Rebooted version and was subsequently snubbed.
@WelcometotheNLK I don't know why I was dropped from Takeshi they asked I wanted to.i said yes and never heard back

Remember the difference between Comedy Central Takeshi and Challenge Takeshi (including the so-called "reboot") is that Comedy Central Takeshi is a reboot itself and an entirely new version made in Thailand and not simply a new rehash of Japanese videotapes dating from 1986 edited together under the pretence it was made six months earlier.
In any case the Challenge reboot was simply more than a collection of unseen bits and some input from the original General character. But the unused parts, if they'd thought about at the time back in 2002 they could have wrapped them in that presentation package, given it the Craig voiceover and they'd still be on air today with the rest of the other episodes.
But with regards to this new Takeshi - visual wise its pretty colourful and looks nice, a fairly faithful remake, looks cheap but even the original Takeshi looked cheap (very cheap in places) so its probably part of the format by now
I'm not sure whether Jonathan Ross is the right commentator for this - Robin Banks (he of Mythbusters fame) might have been better. Still, decision is made.

I clearly said it was in regards to the Rebooted version, and that I didn't know if he'd been approached by Comedy Central.
That tweet is from 4 and a half years ago though and relates to Dick & Dom getting the gig for a "rebooted" series which tanked. Charles was not asked about coming back for the new series on Comedy Central at all.

When did the Channel start broadcasting "My Wife And Kids" I remember when that used to be a cheap filler on BBC2 at 6pm.
Also does Rick and Morty have any special pres?

It only has its own, announcer-less, coming up next bumper, no ident either, I have the first two episodes of the show in my planner, after I discovered Comedy Central acquired the UK airing rights from Fox, where it aired on its own Adult Swim block before it got shut down.
