Looks like Comedy Central are now using the new US logo and fonts, a bit unexpected to be honest.

The serif font looks a bit out of place on trailers.

The idents are now graphical based like the old bumpers, so they are definitely not using those live action idents.

Perhaps the eventual change to the US logo is why the live-action letter idents were never used on the main channel.

I actually like the new logo. It's good to see some consistency across the Comedy Central brand.

I'm warming to the serif font as well. It's quite nice branding.

They seem to be having a problem with the IPPs, when they appear the video seems to slow down.

That really is bad on HD. But we know CC aren't too bothered about their presentation playout being great - wrong times, wrong ratios, no sound on idents on HD once the voiceover begins...

More presentation will be added throughout the day on Sky Idents.

They make great promos and witty break flashes though, and their presentation is at least better than some of the main terrestial channels *cough* BBC Two *cough*

And all because Jon Stewart's got a Comedy Central mug with the logo on his desk... Wink

That's what I was thinking, and the end credits of South Park and Daily Show have the new logo on them as well.

I like it! Glad there is some consistency between the US and UK versions.
