Looking at some of the colourisation done on some of the talking head contributions, I suspect all of them were interviewed in front of a green screen and a random generic backdrop keying in during postprod.

Interesting to watch Sunday's episode for bits relating to the Krypton Factor. I can see why the assault course got modified over the series with some of the injuries shown. Was also nice to see an interview with Jim Bowen, as well as some clips from the earlier series of Bullseye.

I particularly liked his quote of the first series of Bullseye setting the industry back 20 years!

But he's used that line before - and followed it up with another equally good turn of phrase...

"But at the start I was driving a mini, but by the end I was driving a Rolls Royce"

If there's one show I'd love to see, it's the Krypton Factor pre-1987. I've seen quite a few of them on youtube, but I doubt they'll ever be repeated due to the use of film clips for the Observation round. Great pity... Sad

I remember seeing some of these on FTN in 2006(?). I think ITN's Carol Barnes did some Newsreels for the observation round if I recall.

FTN only showed 1987-1992 Krypton because that's all Flextech (at the time) had.
Carol Barnes contributed to what I believe from her comments is the 1987 Krypton final:

Does anyone know if the Assaault course is still at Hawkshaw/Holcombe, in Bury.

If it is then how come they didn't use it on the revamp version, especially as the first revamp series was filmed in Manchester?

I did notice that they spent quite a bit of time on Krypton Factor and almost made me think that it could actually be coming back, again, and this was one big hint that it is.

The assault course for Krypton 2009/10 is in Yorkshire.
http://www.adrenalinnylimited.co.uk/krypton_factor.htm says it's still available for hire as a corporate event, even though the big green K's at the end have been replaced.

With regards to the original: Still there, slap bang in the middle of the Holcombe Moor training camp and not open to the public as a whole but may be accessible as part of a cadet or youth group. Why it wasn't used in 2009/10: Most probably not available.
