I think TV press fans must be having an overload of nostalgia watching this.
Bradley Walsh visiting Yorkshire Television studios in Leeds, plenty of old clips of gameshows and some snippets of the international versions that the gameshows were based on.
And this is the first part of four! It can only get better.

Its also a shock to found out what Bruce Rosyth actually wanted to present. Plus were just visited Central Televison centre at Lenton Lane.
Who would have thought WIlliam G. Stewart did the warm up for TPIR! I wonder how many of the gameshows as a whole that we've got here in the UK, are actually from abroad...

WIlliam G. Stewart was a producer for Central Television, he also worked on Family fortunes.
He was a producer for Thames before moving to Central.

Most are foreign formats. It's only fairly recently - since WWTBA Millionaire - that there's been a lot of successful British formats. And of course since Millionaire many have gone the other way and sold abroad going the other way - Pointless, The Chase, Pop Idol, X Factor, Weakest Link etc.
I'm not sure if it's still the case but a few years ago the majority of gameshow formats were owned or licensed by what is now Freemantlemedia, mainly due to the takeover of Goodson-Todman and Grundy.
Endemol own a large number too, including many developed in the UK like Pointless and Million Pound Drop

I would be rather surprised if we don't hear from Barrymore/Strike it lucky, since it was the biggest show in TV when it first appearer. Mind you next week its the quiz show, and it looks like we'll get a look in at Blockbusters, Mastermind, Uni challenge etc.
Something interesting I noted from the documentary that as far as I can tell hasn't been reported on here, is that the 'Yorkshire Television' sans-chevron signage at The Leeds Studios has finally been replaced with a new 'ITV Yorkshire' sign (in this style: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ITV_Yorkshire_2013.svg )
