I hope they don't, because Comcast is considered the worst company in America.

Comcast may be dislikes for their service but once they bought NBCU things started to turn around. They actually invested in their stations by adding staff both in front of and behind the lens, they bought new live trucks, five of their stations got their helicopters back (most were pooled), built two new buildings for two NBC/Telemundo duopolies with renovations in the works for others.

Also, I don't have a link but Comcast put out a press release saying they weren't interested in ITV. However that tactic has been used before by them and other companies prior to acquisition.

If Comcast buys ITV its highly unlikely they would even think of messing with the branding. And certainly Comcast's Xfinity (cable) service is disliked for their service. But that has nothing to do with their broadcast operations. As was mentioned they made significant investments to their O&O's. It was funny to read some of the comments in other UK media in which people stated that the adverts will increase if Comcast was able to purchase ITV. Which is impossible considering there are broadcast regulations in the UK which prohibit any increase in adverts.

No doubt this will be cheered to the echo by those big, tough "nationalists" and "patriots" who whinge about EU membership as if it were the greatest possible affront to our alleged "sovereignty".

Time for the "sovereignty" bores to stop pretending they really are what they say they are.

Wow, where did that come from? Lack of sunlight getting to you? Rolling Eyes
