"Necessarily guaranteed" being the operative words in that post.
Yep, there's nothing to say Disney will want to buy the rest of Sky when they take over Fox. I'd have thought they'd have enough on their hands at first
They do. They're bidding to buy Sky Plc with at least 50% of the shares

That would stop disney getting full control? and disney might have battle to come for years?
If Comcast Sky then Disney are out of the game when it comes to Sky. Unless Comcast put it up for sale in the future. Not that they'd necessarily want it
I think I'm right in saying that a takeover like that would take it off the stock market

That might just be an opening shot though.

Sorry, just corrected my post, they're looking to buy at least 50%, so a bigger controlling share than Fox holds now

If that happens, what will happen to Sky in Mexico and Brazil? Currently, they are owned by DirecTV (which is in turn owned by AT&T), and licenses the Sky brand from the British company. Will they have to rebrand once Comcast successfully take over Sky UK?
Why? if it's good money companies will leave it in place.
NG
If Comcast end up with both the Comcast and Sky brands, then I suspect a decision will be taken as to which is the most sensible to use in those markets. Given that Sky is the incumbent brand, it may be pointless to rebrand.

Possible but unlikely, much easier to buy out the biggest shareholder as that's 30% in one go. Also Fox not selling would mean a shareholding and control of the company that's 50+% Comcast and 30% Fox, that's not ideal. And if Fox have refused to sell, then it's a hostile takeover

Would Ofcom reject this offer?
HC
Ofcom can't 'reject' takeovers on the grounds of cost.
