The Headline bed didn't start, Michael Buerk waited for it for a few seconds.

The bed was then wrong throughout the headlines, with the 'dum-dums' in the middle of each headline!

I noticed that Michael paused as if waiting for the bed to start or maybe his clock is wrong!

Well Michael won't start until his director has said 'cue' so he was probably waiting for that.

I noticed that aswell.

I should have recorded it.

Yeah on normal BBC News the thunderclaps (drums going 'dum-dum' ) are every 4 or 5 seconds, they're pre-recorded so they can't be adjusted at all - and they're just played when BBC News starts.

Seems the other BBC News cockup has led to them being sued for up to £10m as well...

Blimey... they were trying to make sure they saw it, I think we now know why! - and David Shukman does seem to have disappeared from screen recently?!!
