Apparently, according to a certain person I know who works for a certain American news network, CNN London has a new studio.

Whether it has been unveiled I do not know, I haven't had chance to go and look, but apparently something has happened to it. It was described to me as 'flashy'.

Could someone please go and take a look, A and B are watching TV and I fear a backlash should I wander in and change the channel.

It was officially opened by the Queen earlier today. I haven't seen CNN yet, but it does have two new studios in the building.

Phil - apart from the times I've called you a cheapo - I've always said it, you are a star of a man.

CNN is mad for the Queen. Like every other US network then...

Yes C@t, I believe you are quite popular with CNN.

Ahhh, have just read about this. Looks like CNN are playing the 'we've got more than you game' again.

Pathetic.

Will they never learn that just having one large operation per country doesn't allow them to cover it effectively?

I am not a queen, you cheap little man.

All will be revealed on December 15th...

(providing I get around to booking my train tickets!)

The building (in Great Marlborough Street) was originally going to be home to Carlton, in fact the topping out ceremony was performed by the presenters of London Tonight.

Dunno what happened though

I think when Carlton came to move into it it was already too small.

Just watched the video in the CNN article, and it looks like a VERY nice studio! Lots of tv screens, by the looks of it. Are they actually using it yet on-air and, if so, could someone post some screencaps?

Actually, on the subject of CNN and screencaps, I don't suppose anyone's able to capture some shots of Paula Zahn's new breakfast show and Aaron Brown's 'Newsnight' on CNN US? I presume this means that the new street-level studio is up and running.

Nope, the NYC street-level studio isn't due until at least March or so. I wouldn't be surprised if CNNMoney and the new NYC CNN studio are launched around the same time.

Paula Zahn's presenting of the morning news is done in the Moneyline studio. NewsNight is in the Moneyline studio to - but they added some extra things to the studio for that programme. I'm glad CNN are revamping their NY studio - they really need it.

Does anyone know what's happened to Lou Water and Natalie Adams? I haven't seen them since the 11th - were they sacked? It's kinda weird that Paula and Aaron pretty much took over their airwaves in the last few months. They were on almost all day.
