CNBC Europe - sloppy operation

I`ll just begin by saying I think the actual programmes on CNBC Europe are excellent and well produced.

But it is the transmission of the channel which I find sloppy and appauling. For instance, I was watching NBC Nightly News on Sunday night, and it was sligthly extended at the end so a brief update could be included to update the news on the California wildfires. Except that viewers on CNBC Europe didn't get this because it was cut off by a CNBC Europe bumper, before going off to some crappy infomercials which they hardly get any money from anyway.

I guess as it was weekend they can be forgiven as they most likely run on automation over the weekend.

But this happens during the week when they are fully staffed as well. Even though they have dirty feeds of CNBC US, MSNBC, and NBC network, they should be able to do better when having to cover up US adverts and sponsorship.

Often during the week as well as at weekend, the Nightly News also gets trimmed off at the end, it really is sloppy. They also don't opt-in to MSNBC properly when its in the schedules, so you miss the headline sequence and also part of the opening of the first story.

Tell me about it. Infact it sometimes gets worse with Business Center. For example, if the programme resumes from a break, say 1 minute to 90 second to the top of the hour, what does CNBC Europe do? They go back to the U.S for a few seconds and then before you know it, the programme gets interupted by the next 'European Closing Bell' graphics and then more commercials before the top of the hour and then it's European Closing Bell. Now common sense says just keep putting more commercial until it get to the top of the hour and don't keep jumping in and out of the programme!

Now someone tell me how hard is that? Mad

Did anyone watch The Tonight Show this evening? There was a 'Budweiser King of Beers' caption which was stuck on the screen for what seemed to be the best part of 5 minutes. Meanwhile, over on anologue CNBC, the Tonight Show carried on merrily along. I also notice that you don't have CNBC Text via Sky Digital but you do via analogue.
