I took a phone call at about 10am this morning to inform me that CNBC Europe's European Marketwatch was coming from a Temporary studio, and indeed it is.

The background is litterally a huge picture bolted together with metal poles, and with a similar, but not the same, desk.

CNBC confirmed this, and are going to get back to me with more details...

I know from watching CNBC Europe early this morning that 'CNBC Europe Squawk Box' also came from the same temporary studio, but whether 'Today's Business Europe' came from it as well, I don't know.

I would guess that CNBC Europe has decided to give it's newsroom/studio set a makeover, just as Sky News is doing at the moment.  But I don't think they will change the on-screen graphics and programme titles graphics though, as that was changed back in mid February to bring a coherent look with the style of graphics and titles used on U.S. and Asia programming.

I wonder whether we will see a set similar to the one they have used, for when some programmes have broadcast out on the road, i.e from the Paris Air Show or Davos 2001 earlier this year?

We shall have to wait and see...!

Just to clarify an earlier point, CNBC is available on:

Sky Digital: Channel 510

Astra Analogue system (19.2 deg East), Transponder 50, Polarity: Vertical, Frequency: 10.729GHz

Digital Cable (in most areas).

Thanks, does anyone know where the CNBC European HQ is based?

10 Fleet Place
London

Opposite Blackfriars station

i've worked out of there several times

Also, I've just got off the phone from CNBC, and Today's Business Europe was taken from the Temp Studio, and the European Updates, on Today's Business in the US were from the Markets Desk, not the usual place just behind the newsroom....

Thanks Kevin. It is mainly a Business News channel though. Right?
KE

It is a Business News Channel apart from at 11:30 when they air NBC's Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and at weekends when they have sports in the day and comedy at night...

CNBC Asia
CNBC Europe
CNBC US

There are three primary networks, and other little subsiduaries;
CNBC Turkey
CNBC Norge
CNBC Svenska
CBN (italy)

and a few others from asia
CNBC Australia with local programming etc.

There's a bit of insight for you!

Thanks again. The Nightly News- Is that a direct feed from the US or is it a special European edition from London? Pardon the ignorance but I wasn't aware of the European wing.

It's the US version of the Nightly News, it is taken live i understand....

CNBC's London HQ is also the base of NBC Europe which airs this and other NBC Programs

They use the NSS satelite system for their feeds, and they are accessible with a huge dish and decoder!!! lol Very Happy
