Hilarious, I almost thought it was genuine for a second (or 1.5 seconds, or almost three seconds in extreme cases). Laughing

I even went to the trouble of making the dates on the emails applicable to the request! LOL Smile

Love the one from "The Bunker".

Would that be that place under Bush House that either edits or deletes all my contributions to the Beeb messageboards and sends me back stupid e-mails that I then have to get the local editors to override?

The aspect ratio (or whatever the hell the techincal term is) on Ceefax on BBC2 is completely wrong up here, and as a result is cutting off the left and right of the text.

No biggy for me, if I want Ceefax I'll press the text button, but I know some people will be unhappy. Razz

The screen has changed back to normal now anyway. This is the first time ever I've experienced a Ceefax closedown when I'm wide awake!

Yes it cut the sides off of Ceefax - I always thought it was broadcast in 4:3. Did you notice that the music of Fish played out over the top of Ceefax before the other music started?

Yep, the wonders of BBC automation! Shame the announcement was so rubbish.

I wonder if last night's music (which was incidentally from the disc "Supreme Comfort") was played out directly from the new Broadcast Centre or from the old Continuity suite at TVC.

The TVC operation for BBC pres is now closed and out of circuit, so it will have come from the Broadcast Centre.

Oh right... so maybe they have taken a minidisc player with them... I don't think it was coming from a server yesterday.

Can someone explain (or point me in the direction of a post that does) what the Broadcast Centre is and how this differs from the continuity suite at TV Centre?

The broadcast centre is the new building that runs everything.

The difference is TVC's one used to work, the new one doesn't
