No, it was on satellite from launch in about 1984-5 and carried on cable too
But only for hardcore satellite enthusiasts who could afford "very expensive" satellite systems. Most
ordinary TV viewers couldn't afford satellite TV, until Sky made satellite TV popular in the early 90's.
Realistically, for most ordinary people, "Super Channel" was only available to as a cable channel.
Therefore, technically "Super Channel" was cable exclusive. Only people with lots of spare cash
to burn (and patience to find it and tune in) could afford to view "Super Channel" via satellite TV.
It was availiable to the 2 or 3 households with cable outside of Milton Keynes. But most of its viewers did so via satellite, it was pan-european.

not forgetting [.tv] FKA "The Computer Channel"

Sky Arts (or something like that 1989)
WBTV - was listed in the Sky TV guide on TRP 57 for about 3 months after it failed to happen....

One of the many changes that led to the programmes demise. Others were the introduction of a (pseudo?)touchscreen instead of the classic big wall, new "letter-girl", new presenter and that there wasn't a studio audience anymore. It's a shame what happened to the once most sucessful game show in the country.

Nick At Night never launched either, and Disney was promised at the start of Sky in 1989 but didn't arrive till many years later.
ky Arts did appear for a while as part of the replacement for BSB Now

They're completely diffrent channels though, Nick at Night is not the same as Paramount Comedy. Even though they once broadcast on the same channel and are owned by the same company they shouldn't be confused

This used to be one of the FAQs on Paramount Text I recall, or at least it was answered in this way at least a few dozen times in PText's Mailbox section.
Paramount has, as said, never claimed to be Nick at Night. It's probably because Paramount used to start at 7pm straight after Nick finished that people thought it was Nick at Night. You'd have thought by now surely that as Paramount now broadcasts pretty much all day and Nick is also on air up to 11pm on its Replay Channel, it'd be pretty obvious that it can't be Nick at Night?
