Many things happen in children's programming that you end up questioning in later life. Such as how He-Man didn't bleed to death as you say.

Thames TV children's show throws up a lot of unanswered questions aside from the everyday question of "George is a hippo, Bungle is a bear. What the hell is Zippy?". Question such as why did Bungle wear pyjamas in bed but wandered around naked all day? Geoffrey's fiddling the social major big-time isn't he as he didn't have a job. Why is Zippy incapable of unzipping himself?

Five seems to have lost its way in the afternoons. I'm sure they could easily revamp its schedule to include a "childrens" block that could include classic shows such as He-man.

Five has never had a children's block in the weekday afternoon slot ever since it launched. The closest they've ever come to such a slot would be Milkshake (targeted towards the CBeebies viewership) and what used to be The Core which was targeted towards what BBC Switch now does.

However now that CITV on ITV1 looks like it's never going to be back in the weekday afternoons, there could be an interesting opportunity for a new strand for Five. Whether they'll take it is another matter.

I always remember it being on straight after TV:am in the holidays, especially during the periods when the Scottish schools were out but the english ones weren't.

Yes I remember it being on at 9.25am during the summer holidays around the late 1980s/early 1990s, when ITV had CITV on all morning.

I think they showed that during Motormouth on Saturday mornings (or possibly another Sat. morning show, but I think that was it)
