I have some episodes on video, though they are only from 96ish-2000. If your interested i'll put up a list of titles, and transfer any you want on to my computer.

Hi Nichola
Thanks for the offer but I'm sorted now. I've found someone who has got them on DVD format and she's sent me quite a few.

her webiste is;
http://www.freewebs.com/classic-bill-episodes

I hate to rain on this parade, but this is copyright material and the sale of it certainly shouldn't be promoted here.

It wouldn't be so bad but for the outrageous disclaimer on the site:

Quote:
For any bored copyrighters out there;

1. Get a life

2. As these episodes have not been released on DVD all I am doing is offering a backup service for peoples’ original VHS copies.

3. We are entitled to this service by law.

Whoever this lady is, she certainly is NOT entitled to this by law. She is selling other people's material for profit.

I think the link should be removed from TV Forum.

Their service is prompt though, that must count for something?!

Prompt, but illegal. Its not as if they are clips for "educational purposes", they are full DVDs of various seasons.

Its no skin off my nose, but I can't imagine Asa wants TVF to be associated with copyright theft on this scale.

If you read her disclaimer properly she is providing a backup service which I think you'll find is perfectly legal.

If you haven't got the material then you should not buy said DVDS.

I think she is right, "Get a life"

sad sad sad little man, haven't you got anything better to do than spoil it for everyone else?

Does she require proof that you own original copies of material?

No, thought not.

What she is doing is no different to Dodgy Dave down the pub selling "backups" of PS2 games.

If you are purchasing a backup then you are declairing that you have the episodes in question.

I'm sensing some sour grapes here;

Either you ARE;
Bored copyrighters,
Had a script rejected by The Bill,
Out of work actors who can't get a role on The Bill
Or an extra in an old episode and you never got credit.

Whoever you are is TRUE Bill fans like me who miss the old days and are willing to buy a piece of them again.

The "loophole" on the website is utterly worthless. It is for an individual to "backup" their property. It cannot be sold as a service without the client providing the original DVD or cassette tape.

I get the sense that you are, in fact, the one who is dealing this property; and this thread is merely an advertising vehicle to punt your wares.

In any event, I've reported the webiste to freewebs. I probably wouldn't have but for your vitriolic reply.

So well done you.

Sorry but not my website.

If you have reported her then I feel you've done her a diservice. and obviously you're a bitter and twisted little bully.

The service is law obiding.

The only connection I have to the site is that of a customer.

What's wrong mummy didn't give you enough love when you were a child?

Back on OT

Just watched some episodes with Eddie Santini in them which made me think of the bad boys in The Bill.

There was;
Burnside,
Don Beach,
Des,
Eddie and when Phil Hunter first came into the show they made him out to be a bad boy.

Have I forgotten anyone?
