THE BILL; Classic Episodes

I know UKGold are showing some episodes but they seem to be fairly recent and I know series 1 & 2 are out on DVD but why don't they show the late 80s and early 90s episodes?

The only place I've found some of those episodes are on ebay;

Going slightly off-topic, why is that The Bill is never discussed on this thread? If other serial dramas such as Coro, Stenders, Hollyoaks and E'dale get their own threads-- why not The Bill ? No disrespect to Hollyoaks , but The Bill gets more viewers!

Yes you should start a thread about The Bill on ITV1 but I'm not as fond of The Bill these days.

I know this is slightly OT but after watching last night's episode are they really going to get rid of Tony and Reg?

I know Reg has been in The Bill from the very beginning and some of his early episodes were great and as for Tony over the years how many crashes has he had?

Does anyone agree with me that some of Reg's best episodes were when he was paired up with Des.

This is just a guess, but maybe it is to do with the '#[number goes here]'-naming system. I don't have 'U.K. Gold', do these episodes pre-date '#001'?

Not sure what your getting at but the UK Gold eps are from 2001 onwards.

The episodes I've got are from 1989 onwards.

Has anybody else noticed that on The Bill's epi's this week, they have intorduced incidental music? It sounds out-of-place, and sounds as if it's been done on a Casio home-set!

I know.....it sounds crap!!
