Couple of questions though:

*When was the Brigadier introduced & when did he leave the show?
*Why was the Tardis console out of the Police Box itself & in a shed/garage/storage room?

The actor who played the Brigadier (Nicholas Courtney) worked with all 7 of the original Doctors.

He played Space Security Agent Bret Vyon in the 1965 William Hartnell story 'The Daleks' Master Plan.

Alastair Lethbridge Stewart was introduced with the rank of Colonel in the 1968 Patrick Troughton story The Web of Fear. Later that year he appeared again in The Invasion, promoted to Brigadier and heading up UNIT (The united Nations Intelligence Taskforce, whose primary aim was to deal with alien invasion). He was in most stories early on in the Pertwee period when the Doctor was exiled to Earth and teamed up with UNIT. He then made sporadic reappearances from Tom Baker's time right through to the final classic season (in Battlefield).

As for the TARDIS console, I believe the Doctor felt he might be able to repair that part enough without the rest of the TARDIS (although it's questionable how he got it through the doors Smile ).
In production terms, there was no console room set during the first year or so of Pertwee's time as the Doctor.

Thanks for the info, I did wonder why he had it rigged up to the national grid Very Happy

What happened to the car, was that only through the Pertwee era or did previous or later Doctors use the car?

The car was Bessie, and was used by Tom Bakers's Doctor as well. Get the excellent Robot, released this week to see him in it. Razz

Thanks for the info, I had seen that one suddenly appear in the shops, I think they have a few scheduled to be released in the next couple of weeks

Yes it was but only in that one episode. Sylvester McCoy's doctor also used it once in Battlefield.

As a footnote to that...

Nicholas Courtney never starred with the 6th Dr (Colin Baker), neither as the Brigadier nor as anything else, in the 6th Dr's own era (1984 - 1986).

Nick & Colin only appeared together in Dr Who in a non-canonical, strictly-for-charity short Dr Who "skit" called Dimensions In Time , in 1993. This was the only time that the 6th Dr ever met the Brigadier on telly.

Got the "New Beginnings" boxset (The Keeper Of Traken / Logopolis / Castrovalva) & Colin Baker's Dalek story : Revelation of The Daleks

So far I have only seen The Keeper Of Traken of the New Beginnings boxset & liked the episode, the story was rather good & Tom Baker was great as always although his Doctor seemed a bit more snappy (angry) in this episode, the other two I will watch in due course

As for Revelation Of the Daleks, well, it was an alright story but nothing fantastic, the effects of the transparent Dalek especially the mutated human were good but I kind of felt the story was rushed near the end and would have worked out better if they had added a fifth part.

Also I kind of get what people were saying about the fact that the Doctor didn't really need to be there, with the exception of telling them how to kill the Dalek on guard they probably could have don the task without the Doctor. The ending is very cheesy as well Laughing

If you think Tom Baker seems snippy wait until you see the documentary!!! Also if you want to see a story where The Doctor turns up, makes things a bit worse and has the situation sorted out by others watch The Caves Of Androzani.

Say it's non-canonical in your opinion.

Oh,the arguments caused by continuity issues! Laughing

Yeah I watched the documentary on Logopolis last night as well, at least he did admit that he was "his own worst enemy" at times Very Happy and was partially to blame for his demise

One other thing I forgot to add, I think the titles from the last series of Tom Baker/Peter Davison era were the best Doctor Who titles ever, however with the Colin Baker version, MY EYES, MY POOR F***ING EYES, that mixture of colour nearly sent me perminately blind Wink

Yeah 1 or 2. Mind you I have been a Who fan since I was a kid and Peter Davison was the 1st Doctor I can really remember, remember bits of Tom Baker. Speaking of whom I see Robot is released tomorrow. Laughing
