Yes, that's the official BBCWorldwide channel on YouTube.
oh, interesting. I always thought the BBC would stick to showing videos on their own site.

Timelash
yesterday and although it wasn't a strong story I didn't think it was as bad as some people made it out to be. It was a bit dragged out but it didn't seem as p*ss poor as has been reported. Then again I have got quite a few adventures to see yet
Looking on wikipedia (I know not the reliable source of knowledge it once was) there seems to be only two Colin Baker adventures left to be released pre the "Trial" series : The Twin Dilemma & Attack Of The Cybermen.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the whole of
10,000 BC
is being shown at 8am on UKTV Drama tomorrow. I think that follows on with more
Who
from the Hartnell era.
TV
As far as I know it's the pilot which is being shown. It was never originally transmitted as it was considered too ropey. watch out for the flapping Tardis doors.

I would doubt that UKTV Gold would show the "flapping doors" version.
There's effectively "three" (well, "two-and-a-bit" really) versions of Dr Who's first ever episode, isn't there?
1a: The first full episode to be recorded, in which Hartnell's portrayal was a bit too "anti-hero" for TV execs' liking. Also, there was the problem of the doors of the "Tardis interior" set flapping about noisily whilst the actors soldiered on with the scene as if nothing was amiss.
1b: Exactly the same as above, with only the Tardis interior scenes re-recorded, this time without the flapping doors.
2: An entirely re-recorded episode, with Hartnell's portrayal toned down throughout, and various characters' dialogue revised or rephrased to change certain emphases (is that the correct plural of "emphasis"?). This was the only version ever broadcast on telly in 1963.
Versions 1a/1b were unseen by the general viewing public until the 1990s. Material covering all three versions of the episode is included on the DVD release of the story.
Version 1 b is clearly the version that *would* have been broadcast in 1963, had the entirely re-recorded version not been ordered. The flapping doors incident would clearly be regarded as an "out-take" and therefore not suitable for something being presented as a proper professional finished episode. Going by this logic, I would expect UKTV Gold would screen version 1 b , surely?

No surely Version 2 would have been shown, because the only reason 1b wasnt shown as the first episode is because the production team weren't happy with it. The character of the Doctor in V2 will match the one shown in all other Hartnell episodes, and so that makes it the logical one to be shown, seeing as it was the transmitted first episode on 1963.

I've nearly got all of them now, all I need are:
The Begginning Boxset
The Aztecs
The Hand Of Fear
Ghostlight
The Curse Of Fenric
The Movie
And of course the future upcoming releases
I haven't included the "Lost In Time" boxset as, for myself, personally, it's a pointless purchase seeing as I have never seen these adventures before and they'll make no sense just seeing the odd episodes.
