Wasnt there a longer version of the "Prize time with Andy Crane" titles before they shortened them?

And saying that here's my Challenge TV stuff, going back to a Wednesday in August 1997

The Opening titles to Prize Time, there was a Weekend version which I have somewhere, but it wasn't that different.

TV Travel Shop closes down, Cable & Wireless didn't have this until 1999, so we always got the last 15 seconds, as they used to carry TCC Nordic after TCC UK closed down. This didn't last very long though...

Opening title, they were cut down to a few seconds after September 1997, when the 5pm Prize Time was cut down to a minute or two.

As far as I'm aware unless anyone knows any different, the presenters on Challenge Prize Time went a bit like this:

From launch in February 1997:

Weekdays 5pm-9pm - Andy Crane
Weekdays 9pm-12am - Andrea Boardman
Weekends 5pm-9pm - Pat Sharp
Weekends 9pm-12am - Annabel Giles

After a short while Annabel Giles was replaced by Kevin Duala

Pat Sharp also left at some point, replaced I presume by Paul Ross

From Summer 1998

Prize Time 5pm-10pm Weekdays with Andy Crane
Prize Time 5pm-10pm Weekends with Kevin Duala
Challenge Late 10pm-12am Weekdays with Caryll Varley
Challenge Late 10pm-12am Weekends with Gail McKenna

From January 1999

The Games Room with Kevin Duala and a load of insignificant other presenters

So basically the best era with Prize Time lasted less than 2 years!

Yeah, Those were the days. The only bad thing then was when the end credits of each show didn't get fully shown. Normaly the first thing when the credits were shown it was back to the Challenge presenter with the credits shown on his portable TV

Again like the nickelodeon topic I also have a collection of tapes from challenge. The original challenge tv was great, I wish they would bring out a classic challenge channel and just show all the older gameshows.

I remember challenge late when they showed shows like carnal knowledge and the cooler hosted by donna air, then in between some kind of risque game where the guys battled the females, classic TV. I must go off now and find those old tapes.

Ah... Challenge TV in the days before it became Takeshi's TV.

I remember John Kearns (former Cool FM DJ/UTV presenter) was one of the later hosts of Prize Time, in the days when it was the presenter in front of a CSO screen. Was Challenge still broadcasting from the Maidstone studios at the time?

Does anyone remember pre-Challenge, when the Family Channel's early evening schedule was given over to back-to-back game shows? Usually their version of Trivial Pursuit with Tony Slattery, Catchphrase with good old Roy Walker (and Family Catchphrase with Andrew O'Connor!), Second Guess also with Andrew O'Connor with a set that looked like a grown-up version of the Finders Keepers house. It had Darren Day and other stand-ins in front of a CSO screen, and had its own sting into the programme links, but I can't remember what the programme strand was called - can anyone put me out of my misery?
