Well I like 5 News (no, not ITN 5 News, it's not 16th July yet).
Claire does weekends and occasionally the main 6pm bulletin. She is in fact an extremely good presenter, both friendly and authorative. She's quite young (mid 20s I think) with long blonde hair, and quite obviously Irish. I'm quite sure I've heard her reporting on Euronews before now as well.
Let's hope ITN 5 News comes with a desk! Deskless was alright for a while, but it's gone out of fashion now.

Sincerest apologies for posting that message a few times. I know you can all read. Sorry. From what it sounds like, I think this is obviously the Claire Byrne from TV3 News in Ireland.

Thanks Phil. Will the ITN 5 News be the new name for all the Channel 5 News bulletins following the abolition of the Breakfast News in July or do you know any more details?

Oh, I don't know! I've just pieced together things I've heard. The name 'ITN 5 News' came from Asa on another forum, and it's been in the Guardian or something about 5 News at Brekkie. I honestly believe it'll have a facelift though, and may even include the infamous ITN Arrow in the design to continue the design from the ITN News Channel simulcast.
