Don't believe it's been mentioned on these boards, but over on Boards.ie we've been discussing the new 24/7 lifestyle channel, City Channel Dublin, which will launch on NTL Digital next month.
The launch heralds our first decicated 24/7 Dublin TV channel. Yes there have been attempts in the past, include Dublin Weekend Television on the LINK channel, but this was only for 2 or 3 hours a weekend.

A NEW television service for Dublin will feature the country's first dedicated programme for gays, lesbians and transsexuals.
City Channel founder David Harvey, who formerly presented 'Crimeline' on RTE, said the focus on the new channel - which goes live next month - would be on lifestyle issues rather than hard-hitting journalism.
According to Mr Harvey, the service will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will be a niche service provider with dedicated information and entertainment specifically of interest to Dublin.
The station yesterday unveiled a number of its presenters and show line-ups which includes Irish Independent property editor Cliodhna O'Donoghue fronting a show called 'Property News'.
The line-up will also include a fashion make-over show, a DVD review slot as well as an events guide focusing on more leftfield offerings in the capital. Former 'Big Brother' contestant Ray Shah will also feature.
Mr Harvey, who is one of a number of investors in the channel, said he had already acknowledged that the format for the station would mean a lot of repetition and viewers would tend to be simply dipping in and out.
He said Ireland's first gay, lesbian and trans-gender programme entitled 'Free to Express' would be a dedicated programmed for the city's gay community.
An entertainment programme called 'Spotlight', to be presented by Orla Rapple, will look at less mainstream gigs happening in the city. A health programme will also be included.
City Channel will be on air late next month and will be carried on NTL digital in Dublin. Broadcasting to 100,000 homes initially, station bosses say this will give City Channel a potential audience of 400,000 people from Dundalk to Greystones. They would be applying to replicate the service for Galway and Waterford.
This is exciting times for Irish Digital Cable, especially with the Channel 6 launching towards the end of the year too!
