I noticed that 'CiTV' don't use safe areas. I was watching it on analogue terrestrial, and they split the credits after 'The Rugrats', and chopped the credits in half, and you couldn't see the 'd' in the promotion for 'Drake and Josh'.

Good. All 4:3 TVs must die.

I heard they were renaming it as Kids ITV. Anyone else no anymore bout dis?

Not an Americanism Shocked . I'd always liked 'Children's...'. I have no prob's with 'Kids'...' in American English speaking places, but in English speaking places, it really irritates me.

I don't see how the sides are cut off even on widescreen, as I see them all here fine on my widescreen TV.

Since the relaunch (18 months or so ago now IIRC) that introduced the current DOG, very little of the output has paid any attention to safe areas apart from the actual programmes themselves and anything important, although I have noticed that "Prize Sheep" is painfully tight on 4:3.

Although this service has never been any good presentation-wise since ITV3 launched and has gone from bad to worse since ITV4. Since they're having trouble filling 90 mins at the moment with a decent overall package, it'll be fun to see how they fill up 12 hrs daily and maintain the current slot on ITV1.
