I think the stripped era was mostly 2001 and carried on until early 2002, the first day of them doing it is on YouTube somewhere, with strangely Fearne Cotton on it as well, also the guy they got in late 2001's name was David, he also did Diggit on GMTV.
This seems to be the YouTube link that you're talking about? It also Telly Tots end credit sequence that I described earlier. It seems that the stripped scheduling happened earlier than I remembered then, if the date on that video is right - it took place right at the start of 2001. (And who knew, Paul Akinboka has done something sensible online for once...!)
If it was new year then presumably Fearne was covering for the other presenters being on holiday?

Yeah, it was either the others were on holiday or she was just there because of Fingertips, but it's most likely the former, as around this time they also had somebody off the Top Ten Of Everything as well, possibly as a cover too.
Tom and Andrea were the two new presenters who turned up in around 2000 to present with Stephen and Danielle. Then, as said above, there were new presenters in late 2001. Leah, Leigh and err, I can't remember the bloke's name.
That late-90s, early-00s CiTV really was fab. I'd moved over to it from CBBC by that point, and it was really great.
When talking about the CBBC/CBeebies-esque split, don't forget Telly Tots, which began in 2000, I think, as an alternative way of framing the pre-school programmes. It was a return for Steve Ryde to voicing characters, as it was an out-of-vision cartoon continuity set in a very yellow cartoon world. There are a couple of clips on TV Ark. It's notable that they didn't run either show's credits when they should have done, instead coming straight out into the next bit of cartoon continuity. Then, after the Telly Tots theme and sponsorship sting (it was sponsored by MilkyBar for some time) the invision presenters would pop up to advertise the upcoming afternoon schedule as both shows' credits ran concurrently down one side of the screen.
Also, when was the ill-fated "stripped" era? It seemed utterly bonkers to me as a kid at the time and it meant that Christmas episodes of shows went out in December, as they made the scheduling moves after the commissions had been made. I'm sure others can remember the details far better than I can. But it was a total failure. After all, who wants to see the same shows every day on end?!
