Looks like the sort of show I (and I suspect many others here) should have really enjoyed back in the mid-90s but I don't remember it at all.

Most likely due to the fact it was only on for a hour, was up against L&K, and the rest of that morning's line up was It's Not Just Saturday, a boring magazine-type show, and old reruns of Spatz. One morning It's Not Just Saturday failed to come on, so they hastily replaced it with Sea Quest of all things.

Of course all the shows Telegantic Megavision went behind the scenes of just happened to be Media Merchants productions... Can't imagine why!

And the male presenter is Dave Chapman, better known as Otis the Aardvark!

I have absolutely no memory of that show whatsoever.

Interesting that the show's copyrighted to Warner Brothers for some reason when it was a Media Merchants production. They must have had some involvement in the show.

I remember watching this after school. It was made by Foundation Productions and they used Maidstone, they also used it for Saturday Showdown

Interesting that page says that Fraggle Rock was made it Maidstone, I read that the UK inserts were made at a theatre in Gillingham that TVS owned. http://www.tvstudiohistory.co.uk/rest%20of%20britain.htm#ex%20itv Maybe some were filmed at Maidstone though.

Well, you saw it went to ITN for the weather. I also claimed it went be-hide the sceens of other shows like Babylon 5

Im confused its clealry say Fraggle rock was made in Gillingham and that was the only reason it was kept open
Quote:
Oddly, the show that kept the studio open was Muppets spin-off Fraggle Rock, which ran from 1983-1987. Once this ended the studio was hardly used so it was put up for sale early in 1988 and was purchased by Network One TV in June 1989

Unless it was were Fraggle rock was put together?

No it didn't, Martyn Davies was in front of a green screen in the middle of the show's studio, as you can see in this clip:

Again I have little recollection for this programme though surely it would have worked better as a half an hour series during weekday afternoons and I'm sure I would have been interested in it.

I don't think I've ever appreciated how many wonderful productions the Media Merchants made especially through the 90's.

What was It's Not Just Saturday - again no recollection.

Continuing on their rather successful involvement in What's Up Doc I guess.

Yup, pretty much every show they did was great. WOW!, It's a Mystery, Zzzap!, Art Attack, the list goes on.

It's Not Just Saturday was, as I said before, a magazine- type show similar to The Noise and Massive which came on after the main show on Saturdays, no idea why they did this though.

It's Not Just Saturday was produced by Scottish Television its last Saturday morning show, and went out between 10.30 and 11.30.
