these 4am (ish) showings of boobah and the like ... are they tx-ed from central, as they've been preceded by citv idents/trailers and are in 14:9 - or are they being tx-ed from lwt?

i would have thought if they were coming from lwt, then they'd have been put on the server in 16:9 Confused

I get the feeling they were compiled by CITV ages ago, hence why the days are all wrong and then were sent to London are being played out by LNN as one complete package.

I saw that Busted special this morning on "ITV1". The acting was a bit like an episode of Chums.

Talking about Chums, I hope you've all got your alarms set for 9.24am tommorow morning, its the CITV event of the season!

A very disappointing last SM:tv really. Nice to relive some of the old moments, but nothing hilariously funny.

I'm not sure if it's because it wasn't live, but the show just didn't seem as dynamic.

Interesting to see Shavaugn back. Still a dreadful presenter, but at least she's brushed her hair now. I'm a little bit miffed that there wasn't even a mention of H and Claire, as they did present the show for much longer than Shavaugn.

It's also a shame that they couldn't get everyone in together and had to film it over two days. It seemed a little bit disjointed.

A shame to see it go really. Ministry of Mayhem has a lot to live up to.

A lovely effect at the end with the fireworks too... although I think they should have has James Redmond as the cleaner, or perhaps H.

So what happened with Eminemerdale then, it seemed to have been dropped and replaced by Spongebob Squarepants!.

In my opinion it was a good end although a bit funny that it was filmed at different times. I thought Ant, Dec and Cat were filmed seperately but then Des and Shervaughn turned up at the end, although earlier those two had been with Brian and Tess.

Presumably Tess had to rush off to present that day's "The Christmas Show".

Lots of funny bits on Secret of My Success, Chums etc. I liked the 'Ant and Dick' bit with Richard Whiteley making yet another guest appearance on a show this christmas!. I bet that SM:TV 'Snappy Snap' would make a lot of money on eBay!

im very dissapointed with the final sm:tv, very very crap

but one thing has been confirmed...it has being the writing that has let the show down over the past 2 years, neither the secret of my sucess, or chums were ever that crap in the days of ant dec and cat imo, the last five minutes were good, with the chums ending, then the final song and the fireworks, but the show limped along at poor slow pace up untill then

and 1 more thing, did i fall asleep and miss eminemerdale??

That was pretty poor, though some of those old clips were funny, especially "Pumping in the Biscuit Tin"!

My favourite moment: "Oh no! Dec's blown Dick through the wall!"

It was sad at the end, with the "SM:TV 1998-2003" fireworks display, where the ghostly voices of Ant, Dec and Cat were playing out, as memories of how wonderful the show once was...

*sniff* Crying or Very sad

It was a bit disappointing this morning but I think that's to do with the fact that my expectations were so high!

There were a few moments where I'm sure Dec looked like he didn't really want to be there. I loved the bit where they showed Cats' audition...brilliant!

I think the caretaker sweeping up at the end was Conor MacNally (sp?) the shows exec.!

Ahh yes... I was waiting for Eminemerdale, and it never happened. The titles came up after the break, there was cheering, and then they went straight into Spongebob... a shame really, I wanted to see it!

LoveTV!!
It was weird that there was no Eminemerdale.
I think it was filmed because when they came back from the break you could hear Shivaughn (whatever it's spelt like!) cheering but it went into a Spongebob, but never shown and the only programme that was mebtioned wes Sabrina, NOT Spongebob Scratch Head
It was bizarre because the presenters said it would be on (Brian said that it would be on in 15mins) but it wasn't mentioned on the line up (unless they cut it out of the line up).

Anyway, the last ever SM:TV was a bit crap, it wasn't funny, the presenters didn't seem to bond which made it uncomfortabe and I think it was filmed at different times because ALL the presenters weren't there at the same time (even at the end!).

My rating of theis SM:TV: 7/10

LoveTV

PS: They pleyed the FULL credits of Sabrina, I wish CiTV would do that!

They did cut it out of the lineup actually - I was listening to the background music and it jumped to a different part of the music as the next item appeared which I sort of subconciously noticed.

Not to mention that S Club 8, Brian Conley and Stars of Coronation Street were in the studio all morning, but didn't actually appear in any sketches!

I actually taped all the show (and got it down to 1h25). I've just looked at the opening menu and it went like this: (B = Brian, D = Des etc)

B,S,D,B,S,D,B, (then a jump between 10.10 and 11.15), D,B.

Therefore it looks like Shevaughan read out that Eminemerdale would be on at 11 and they cut out that bit. I wonder why...

We never did find out where Shavaghan had got to either!
