CiTV are defintaly getting better!!
Michael was presenting in the morning AND in the afternoon! I still think he should have read out e-mails, texts etc though!
I think it will be a shame when/if he leaves! He made me laught yesterday afternoon when he said CiTV will be back at 2:30 the crew went YES! then, he said he will be back in the afternoon aswell and the crew went BOO! Anyone else see that?
Well Christmas Presentation is now up and running on both CiTV & CBBC.
CiTV have ditched their four note tune, and have gone for a piece of music that I've heard before, but don't know the name of, or where I've heard it. The start up ident was much like the trailers with the three sparkling zorbs. The studio isn't that much. They have just put a few small trees with presents, nothing special. And the ad break bumpers are the flying zorbs getting things from around the house and turning them into trees and snowmen, etc. They are well produced, but would look better with a filmic effect on them.
And Bag the Swag, has changed to SWAGTACLAUS. Where the idea is that you nominate a person that you think deserves a present on A NEW NUMBER, with NEW NUMBER JINGLE, 0,9,0,double 1, 9, 8.... double 6, double 7.
CBBC have doen better with graphics. Though they aren't that festive. They use the double ended thing used as the end ident, with a bug on a snowy end, going down a tunnel, releasing bubbles and then flying back up. Though they haven't even added bells, or a jingle effect onto the music.
Studio wise, I've only noticed one piece of fake snow hanging off one of the plasmas, so far!
On SM:TV I've noticed that All Grown up always ends very abruptly in odd places, and after watching all the eps on CITV, I've found out why- they cut off the last scene! The question is- why? They so this with Sabrina as well, but that doesn't seem to end as odd, though SM:TV also edit Sabrina's opening titles, which IMO looks bad as well, why can't they just show them in full? Surely they can sacrifice about 30 seconds of Des being punched?
Interesting. I don't t like the dodgy editing, especially of Sabrina's titles. Only a few more weeks though. I wonder what Ministry of Mayhem will do?
Have you seen the CiTV christmas pres James? What do you think.
Personally I don't think it's as good as last years bouncing letters, well skating letters. The only thing that's made me feel festive so far is the MPAA christmas eps. Shame they aren't on next week.
There was much more time during today's CITV. There were no ads between Meg and Mog and Boohbah and no ads between Boohbah and All Grown Up.
Re the Sabrina opening titles, what exactly is missed out, as now that her Aunts arn't in it anymore there's only those two girls who are main characters
The Sabirna titles are still pretty much the same as before, only minus the pictures of the aunts, and as you can see, the last 5 seconds or so are different.
I've just been watching through last weeks SM:TV/CD:UK that I taped and it reminded me of a feature on the very early CD:UKs where they used to have a live link to a record store where they were asking people what they were buying. That was one of the first features to be dropped, it was quietly dropped after about 3 or 4 weeks. I much preferred the CD:UK set back then, it was full of colour and light and was vibrant and they had some good stage designs- now look at them. Just basic stages in black, a couple of them with video screens behind them.
One of the things they need to do after SM:TV ends it to relaunch CD:UK- do up the set totally so it has more colour and light and make new graphics- the current ones were in use when Ant & Dec were still there.

SO effectively everyday till christmas, but not christmas day. Though the programme appears to be a kids film, but not CiTV. If only they'd have saved the jungle run christmas special till this week. I presume by the trailers that they will be showing the nagry beavers special. It wasn't christmas, as such, it was their christmas though.
And out of all of the christmas sabrinas, its going to be the one where bob has an accident, and turns out to be father christmas, who faked his injury so that sabrina has to deliver the presents and cures her egotitus. They had one from the last series of sabrina on nick last weekend, where sabrina goes to morgan's family cabin. I haven't seen that one on CiTV before.
Well the Angry Beavers epsiode is on tomorrow, though technically I'm not sure how it classes as a Christmas special, as the fact it's being shown is just co-inidence rather than being specially scheduled as that Arbor Day (Beaver Christmas for those of you who don't watch the show) episode is the 3rd in the run.
