Who knows who is live and who isnt; its a bit stupid when they do this; it really annoys me! Although in cd:uk's defence they never bill it as live; and SM:tv dropped the live from march.

Neither of them may be live; bands may have saturday's off!

Parts of SM:tv are prerecorded - like when they open from backstage. Saturday Morning TV SHOULD be live! It's what makes it fun to watch!

I hope SM:tv's replacement is a lot better...

Incidentally has anybody noticed that neither SM:tv or TSS have opening titles now! They just go straight into the show.

Sad

TV is becoming so American.

Well SM:tv have intergrated the titles & menu as u see the start and u see the end; it just last a bit longer!

Havent seen the saturday show start for a few weeks; when i did; they were opeining with a comp and then saying it puts the welly in your telly; welcome to the saturday show; then titles.

In the most recent one they did that, only no titles, just the same old line-up.

The Saturday Show's titles are excellent (well compared to SM:tv's!)

And their christmas theme tune was really festive; very high notes; yet very christmassy; unfortuneately this year we wont here them! Sad

They havent got it right at CBBC no HOT; then moving the Saturday Show. They should go back to the old way of having the Live & Kicking style show (at present the Saturday Show) from sept to april with a summer fill in (sunday mornings haven't been the same since they took fully booked off! I suppose they could do Dick & Dom in the summer; have it as the full series on CBBC channel then have a summer version for BBC One; it would mean that they wouldnt get the sort of holiday they have had this year! Why have they had so many weeks off! Didnt it start in August last year?

It started when Smile moved to BBC TWO and that happened in the summer holidays (the last week I think) so it was August.

I noticed they had no titles as well. I thought it was weird because they both went at about the same week.

After 5 years at the London Studios sm:tv /cd:uk is moving. Riverside is now going to handle what might be it's final run.

Might be? AFAIK they both end in December - for good! Sad

EDIT: What's your source anyway?

That's really interesting if it's true. A similar arrangement to TFI Friday would be good, with a studio upstairs and a big area downstairs for music performances. What sort of studios are available at Riverside?

Obviously a change in studios would be quite a major change, let's hope it refreshes the show as it really does need it.

Details re CD:uk and the Riverside Studios are on the Applause Store website, in the show schedule section .SOURCE

There is a one-off special show being recorded on Aug 19th, and then dates for the usual Saturday shows. It seems that Powerhouse are no longer dealing with audience tickets for CD:uk

Why move if it's only for five months? Short of Ant and Dec returning SMTV is doomed!

What a silly thing to say. SM:tv's ratings halved when TSS started because both shows are almost exactly the same so it's almost a 50/50 split. When TSS goes for Autumn SM:tv's ratings could easily pick up again. SM:tv have been trying extra hard recently and it shows - the fun of the early SM:tv is slowly creeping back in. I think it's heading along the right lines and could recover.

If ratings are high again by December, it wouldn't make sense for it to be axed.
