I wasn't totally sure it was being prerecorded. if it is, it's almost certinally becuase Ant & Dec have a busy schedule

What will they be doing on 27th Dec then that will prevent them doing live SM:TV?

Pop Idol will be over by then!

I know, pop idol will be well over. All I can think of os world Idol, but that's not on the 27th. Is anyone out there 100% certain it will be pre recorded or not? I haven't seen this confimred anywhere/

I think the show was pre-recorded yesterday. Not too sure about the laws of the site linking to other forums - but check out this thread on a Brian Dowling forum, which includes comments by someone who has tickets for the last show.

Feel free to edit this post if its breaking the rules

Also Ant and Dec will be doing world idol, plus cut them some slack, they do need some sort of break over christmas! Plus a lot of the crew might not have been happy doing a live show Christmas week

The argument for a pre-record is that the show between Christmas and New Year always is pre-recorded, and not just for SM:TV. Remember 'Almost Live Definally Kicking'. This'll be so the crew doesn't have to work and get a week off, but as its the last show you'd think a different effort could be made this year. Although if it was live when would they do the rehersal.

Yeah, but that message on the Brian Dowling site, was posted by the same person who said there would be two four hour long SM:TV shows on 27th December. So not the most reliable of sources!

They say the pre-record was yesterday, but they were still running trailers for the last Challenge Ant on Saturday, and I can't see how they'd have been able to pick someone in that time. I can see how it might be pre-recorded (the between Xmas & new year shows are usually just review of the year/SM:TV awards, clearly pre-recorded), but I'dve thought it would be maybe a week or so before airing, not 3 weeks.

I'm so annoyed that H and Claire won't be on the last every show. It's so unfair! They were my favourite presenters on SM:tv and not a single one of their sketches has been shown.

If anybody does have a clip of Claire's first Casually episode (where they were playing Tragedy in the booth of infinite pain) I'd be really greatful to have a copy.

Back to CiTV, and a great jungle run christmas show. That's how you do a christmas show. Its a shame it was on two weeks early, especially as it was referred to as the night before christmas, christmas eve would have been a good slot, but itv, commissioning and scheduling, you're havin' a laugh! They could have shown another show this week at least, or from earlier in the series. Will it be continuing in the new year? As there are still some celebritie ones that they haven't done yet. They used to have celebrity specials, and christmas specials of every programme during the last week and christmas mornings.

Indeed it did seem to be a bit of a waste with it being shown so early. Working within the slots CITV have been given I would have shown it on Tuesday 23rd December at 3.50pm, in between the Boohbah Christmas Special and Busted Christmas Special. That is unless Star is a christmas special in which case maybe not.

Or maybe a double bill of Pirate Islands this week and the Christmas Jungle Run next Tuesday at 4.30 straight after the Flintstones Christmas Special

It is the day after boxing day Rolling Eyes ant and dec have had a busy few months with pop idol, plus they'v got world idol to film as well as that pilot for the american saturday night takeaway, then they fly out to do another iacgmooh in january, dont you think they might just want few days off over christmas!!?

and it's not just about A&D, with it been the final show it's bound to be full of celebs like A&D's final show, how many celebs do you think would want turn up on the 27th of december!?

come on, be logical people we all want afew days off over christmas, and yes i know some people do work on the 27th, but it's celebs we're talking about... atomic kitten were on TRL the other day saying they've got a 3 week christmas break!! Shocked, so unless the show is pre-recorded that's them off the list.

Today's My Parents are Aliens was the one where Brian becomes a baby, it was only on the other week!.

Today's Art Attack was another one where I think Neil is flogging a dead horse. That 'dropped dinner' was really detailed and I can't see anyone going to all that bother!

God, I know! I watched it and was just sat there thinking "Who in their right mind would do this?!" Try it yourself... fool your parents with plastic dinner. Wahey. Reminds me on the Alan Partridge sketch, where Sonia gives him a plastic egg in a bap...
Sonia: "Alan would you like an egg in a bap?"
Alan: *sarcastically* "Ooh... mmm, yum yum, mmm... oh it's plastic."
Sonia: *laughs hysterically*
