Just as Leah was introducing today's MPAA for some reason she poped into 4:3 meaning she was sqashed thin. This continued for about 3 mins of the episode. Maybe they were expecting to show a 4:3 episode of MPAA

Hmmm.... So they can do this for MPAA but not for All Grown Up, Flintstones & Angry Beavers?

It is kinda ironic when the only show they show in 4:3 in a proper 16:9 made programme!

Maybe they are experimenting with aspect ratio switching. Lets hope so. I presume one of the episodes they had up for selection today was from the first series? I never really took much notice, I only had CITV on for All Grown up (I went off RugRats about 4 years ago, but I am strangely hooked on this series). I know the clip they showed from the first ep had the old Sophie in, but it could have been from the 2nd series..

The selection was:

>the one with the bump; where brian likes the idea of being pregnant, and does so, featuring the old sophie

>the one with the martial arts; where brian trains lucy in some sort of martial arts to beat wendy

>the one with the boobs:part 1(the winner); where Brian tries to get in touch with his feminine side (at the end of the episode) by growing boobs.

You put boobs in, how can anyone resist voting for it? LOL

that was one of the options, and they did. Nothing to do with Leah saying I like this one, vote for this.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think next year, Ant & Dec & Cat should be given thier own prime time show. Slap Bang was a good idea, but I think Miss Deeley is what it was missing. As has already been suggested, they could try making Chums (or at least something based on it) into a full sitcom. The partnership of those three is something that will always work. It's a shame Ant & Dec weren't doing record of the year with Cat, but they're too busy on Pop Idol at the moment.

You can tell that something is still there between them 2 years on, as dec referred to her as miss catherine deeley at the end of pop idol.

It will be good to see them back together again on the last show, that looks as though it'll only be 2 hours long, which is such a shame. What will that cd:uk be then? The cd:uk of the year? Surely they could miss this out as its usually the presenters or cat in an empty studio showing old clips from the year. Couldn't they move this later in the afternoon for one week?

Back to CiTV, and a great jungle run christmas show. That's how you do a christmas show. Its a shame it was on two weeks early, especially as it was referred to as the night before christmas, christmas eve would have been a good slot, but itv, commissioning and scheduling, you're havin' a laugh! They could have shown another show this week at least, or from earlier in the series. Will it be continuing in the new year? As there are still some celebritie ones that they haven't done yet. They used to have celebrity specials, and christmas specials of every programme during the last week and christmas mornings.

I'm still a bit miffed that they haven't started showing christmas trailers yet. I saw a brief bit of the christmas endcap on the jungle run trailer, and it looks as if they've gone for colour, and in a funny looking way. Though I would need a proper longer look to be certain.

More on the last ever SM:tv - taken from the website - http://www.smtvlive.co.uk

On Last Saturday's SM:tv Gold DES Exclusively announced the brilliant news that ANT, DEC and CAT are to be reunited for one final time - in the last ever SM:tv on December 27th. Joining ANT, DEC and CAT will be TESS, BRIAN, DES and SHAVAUGHN and there's going to be a whole host of surprises in store! Watch this space for the very latest news - but we can reveal that there will be brand-spanking NEW versions of your SMTV favourites like EMINEMMERDALE, THE SECRET OF MY SUCCESS and one final ever episode of CHUMS Plus there'll be one last CHALLENGE ANT. It's going to be the party of the year. We've got the guests, now all we need is you, so book your seat on the sofa - Saturday December 27th - 9.25am on CiTV.

Looking good (apart from Eminemerdale, but you cant have it all. Hopefully that'll be on 1st so we can relax for the rest of the show!). Also Good to see "Secret of My Success" back - hopefully Dirty Donnely will meet up with Cat the Dog, who was revamped into normal cat in cats last show! Also Shavaugn is back, so she can't have been sacked can she? Hopefully more light will be revealed

I also thought Cat should have been on slap bang. I read last year in a of Heat Magazines spoof TV guide an idea for "SN:tv live" which was SM:tv at night. Can't remember the exact details but it sounded good as it could work - with Adults in Challenge Ant (I know they did this on Slap Bang, but it was with Grannys and was rubbish) and massive cash prizes on Wonkey Donkey, and of course Chums and other SM:tv favouite sketches.

BTW - For Curiosity's sake what was the exact date of when the 1st SM:tv live was broadcast?

H and Claire won't be there?! That is soooooo wrong! Some of my favourite SM:tv moments were with H and Claire and they were so much better than Des and Shavaugn.

Does anybody have a contact number for SM:tv (i.e. not the studio or competition hotline, but a general contact number?)

I beleive it was August 29th 1998, which means SM:TV will be 2 days short of its 5th 1/3rd birthday.
