I hope they do Wonkey Donkey as well, it was funny the way they used to shout at everyone for making stupid gesses, and they had that silly little horn that Ant (IIRC) used to mess around with.

I hope they do wonkey donkey as well, it was hillarious.

However I've heard on the grapevine that the show is being taped this coming monday as its the only free day ant and dec have, so it could be out of the question Sad

However I think they will be doing a last ever chums - I think above all its the thing everone wants. Although (as ive said before) they never resolved the last one before James came in - when Cat and Louise heard him doing something to his girlfriend next door.

Well, actually Chris, they did an episode the week after that, which eventually did turn out to be the last one. It was the one with Brian as Santa Claus. I think that was one of the episodes where they joked about the fact that they couldn't come up with a cliffhanger from the last episode so they said they wouldn't mention it! I think I may be wrong though!

Got the Best of SM:TV Live video today. Quite interesting and some funny clips (and original footage). Unfortunatly there aren't many early clips on the video (there was one though with "Happy 28th November- just the sort of odd date SM:TV ceelbrated in the early days), but there are some good clips there. The video does show us how good the show was, it's a shame it didn't stay like that. Though watching clips is still not the same as watching an edition of the show in full- so yes, this is another plea to show us full editions. Maybe find some place on ITV2 in the meantime, then move it to ITV kids when it launches.

17 Hours to the next edition of SM:TV gold, I wonder what will be shown? This week's webvote is Atomic Smitten Vs Beautiful Coors and It looks liek The Coors will win. Though please producers, give us some more early clips & sketches!

That video is great. However there is a lot of old stuff missing on there, and some sketches that are hardly even touched upon - like Dec Says/Secret of my success.

I'd like to see one last SM:tv vid, with the absolute best of the show, and some old stuff too!

It's funny as seeing it written like that makes it sound like SM:TV will be coming back, even though it isn't (unless MoM flops and ITV decide to go back to the old). I'm still wondering what MoM will be like, very little is being revealed about the show.

Oh dear Confused Couldnt they have done a last ever Casually instead.

Also Disapointed to see it under the banner of "gold" rather than "live".

Personally I think the penultimate show should be Brian and Tess, then Ant, Dec and Cat together on the last, as (no offence to any Brian and Tess fans) Ant, Dec and Cat are what everyone really wants. I know they're bits are being filmed seperatly, but that will give a disjointed feel to the last show.

Looks like someone out there is reading this! This week, what did I see? No more than a clips from "it's not flaming good enough"! Huzzah! Someone out there is listening Very Happy. They showed a clip from S Club 7 on CD:UK as well, and I think CD:UK should go back to a set like that, it's muhc better than the drab black set they have now. Oh, and they also showed the full opening titles to both epsiodes of Chums, and the end "credits" to the second one.

It looks like that they're going to be showing the last few weeks of chums as it is, Des said that they're going to be showing how chums progressed and how it finished over the next three weeks just in time for the final show.

Thats a shame! Why can't ITV extend it so it ends at 12 or even 1pm.
It sounds a good show, I hope we don't get the SMTV gold beginnings, I would like to see the original ones!!!!!!!
PLEASE SM:TV SHOW THE ORIGINAL BEGINNING ON THE LAST SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe its just that their lease has expired, as five years ago today (well the equivilent of this date!), the last saturday in august 1998 ant & dec stood outside at the entrance to the corridor leading to studio 2 at the london studios and welcomed us all to the very first sm:tv live. My how times have changed.

I know I'm bringing back an old post but I've been reading through the thread and wanted to comment on this. I remember seeing that opening scene to the first SM:TV and it's something they'll never be able to show on SM:TV Gold because someone in the gallery must have pressed the wrong button as for about 5 seconds over that opening scene to the first SM:TV, up popped a still picture from Cow & Chicken- oops! Hardly the most professional start the show could have had. Odd how I can remember that little detail, but can't remember much from the actual show itself. Could be that the main reason I watched SM:TV at the start was because of Cow & Chicken (as at that time the only way I could see it was at a friends house who had cable, we didn't have cable until March 99).

BTW, on todays show, that Ginger kid that kept popping up- during Eat My Goal and Wonkey Donkey. Does anyone know if it was an act or genuinely real?

I'm thinking of next week possibly ringing up Wonkey Donkey, as I got it striaght away this week (Sobbin' Robin in case you don't know). I'm wondering if anyone thinks it's a good idea? I don't think there's an age limit, but they can't get many 17 year olds ringing up! Though I remember Wonkey Donkey right from the time there was no music and it was simply one of them shouting "wonkey" and the other "Donkey", I think they bought the music in after a couple of months.

On both of today's Chums episodes it opened with the "Chums is filmed....." things, I always found the "chums is sponsored by" something stupid (that was always demonstrated at the beginning) funnier, though I guess they only had so many ideas for that. A good opener could have been "Chums is filmed in front of a bribed studio audience", but AFAIR they never did that one (they might have, but I don't remember it). In the early episodes they used to have some American sounding bloke doing the voiceovers at the beginning & end of the episodes, but it changed to Ant , Dec & Cat doing them instead- which I always found better.

Yes I got Sobbin' Robin straight away as well, although some weeks they are slightly more difficult. Stephen's definally the best Wonkey Donkey presenter since Declan's days.

I was surprised Casually got shown, I expected Animals That'd Knack You in a Fight. I think the voters made a fatal mistake..... Laughing

What did you think of Des's 'its took me this long to get laid' line. Stephen didn't know what to say!.

One thing that has been poor with SM:TV Gold are the guest presenters. They made out it was to be SM:TV friends, and we started with Emma Bunton, but then after that its just mainly been current pop stars.
