Just wondering, did anyone on here buy any of the SM:TV videos that came out in the Ant, Dec and Cat days?

I bought the 'Best of Chums' video which came out in 2000, but it was basically the best of SM:tv Live, but Chums being dominant on the tape and it was very funny. But as I said some 20 or 30 pages ago on this thread somehow the tape has been damaged as the VCR almost chewed it up, but I have seen it really cheap in some shops, maybe Music Zone.

I know they released another one in 2001, but I didn't get this, I think you can still buy it, but it's something like £14.99, apparently they were planning a DVD release for this one, but it never happened.

Though on tape I still have all of Ant and Dec's last ever SM:tv and CD:UK which was fantastic, especially that episode of Chums too.

I loved Ant and Dec on that programme - don't really watch it since they left.

And I'm sad to admit that I saw "PJ & Duncan" live in concert at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. They didn't even fill it!! That was about 8 years ago!

But I bet that if they were to do a comedy act NOW they would fill it and more!

Ah, the way things change eh?

Hey, who likes the new lava CiTV logo that Ministry of Design has done!
If you haven't seen it thenClick here for it!

I like it because it is funky and modern (what kids want!!), if you could do a CiTV mock then post it here or in the mock section! I LOVE CiTV mocks!

Michael pointed out today that Leah is back tommorow after being on holiday for about 10 years!!

They're going to have to get a new male presenter in the afternoons with Leah from January then.

Its a shame she can't come back with Michael presenting aswell! He also said at the end, 'she returns from what could only be described as the longest holiday ever'. It's only been 3 weeks, hasn't it?

I wonder what they will do. They may take on Des from SM:tv (if he wants to), they may try and get Liam from diggin 'it (Though it would be tricky for him to do both as they pre record it during the week). They may get totally new people. Perhaps the idea was that Tim was to replace Michael full time. Or they may go for something different and get either anna, kate or both back as full time. They may even just leave it as Leah's show. That's all CBBC, and CiTV were back in my day.

It's interesting how CiTV can only afford one live presenter a day, yet CBBC have two live linking, one doing newsround, two on the channel live linking, two on xchange, nelly nut, and miss bunny, dave chapman, and all 4 blue peter presenters (when did this start, and why?)!

I never really liked the Chums video they bought out in 2000. Essentially, 6 episodes spread over the last two months before the release of the video, I took it back to HMV the following day. The video that came out the following year is recommended. It's really funny, the video goes back to the dark days of when the show first started.

Finally, agreed on their final SM:TV. Great TV. Although I don't think it was too good bowing out their stint with a recorded clip from their 100th show though.

BUt everyone wanted to see it again. And with it being cd:uk they had to end with something musical. ANd they most probably knew they wouldn't be in a fit state (crying and everything) after watching back their highlights.

I wonder whether they get to see highlights packages in rehersals, or if the production team save them till the actual day?!

But it was like a big anti climax to what was a good show. Besides, they left Andi Peters and Emma Forbes sobbing on their last show together on Live and Kicking!

They no longer show the credits for Chums AFAIK.

Officially it was just Andi's last show, though it was the last full live & kicking emma presented as she decided to leave in between series. And actually left as a hot seat guest on zoe and jamies first show.

I wonder if the new show will feature a big profile guest phone in?

SM:tv GOLD have been editing the opening and closing titles, but showing episodes in full, even the previously one chums, which wasn't actually the previous weeks gold.

They have been cutting out the ant, dec & cat triple screen view with their name captions (on the first week of chums, just like friends their names came after each other, but to show more of them fooling, they stuck them all together!). And have just been showing the lamp falling at the end. Though the end credits aren't actually end credits, if anyone has taken the time to read them.
