Still at least they haven't imported that one that looks like Woof! in reverse. That'll be because the Disney Channel's got it, oh yeah.

Is that 100 deeds of Eddie Mcdowd?

If that's what you mean, true it's still a boy turning into a dog, but the idea is that he stays as a dog until he does 100 good deeds. Except Disney only have the rights to the first, possibly the first & second season/s. This means that when he gets down from 100 to deed sixty something, the next ep goes back to the first one.

Where as with woof! it just happened willy nilly when there nose started to itch. How many woof characters were there? There was Eric, the first, Rex, the second (rex, the one whose father owned a shop, in which eric appeared in the dirst ep.), then there was a third who told his friend (a girl), and she used him to win a sheep hearding contest, or something. Were there anymore? Was it axed? Perhaps for getting tidious? Or just ended?

What doesn't make sence is Nick giving the rights to CiTV so early. As, Nick UK has been buying loads of shows lately.

The same happened with the Fairly Odd Parents last yeat- CBBC started showing it around 4 months before it turned up on Nick Toons (A channel which has got very bad as of late).

Yeah, that's the one.

Like I say, Woof! in reverse only without the turning back bit at the end of each episode. I'd have thought Nick would have had it, myself, as opposed to Disney.

It went through the "the kid's too old" thing so they had to come up with the turning-into-a-dog thing as being a sort of micro contagious not "disease" as such but like that, in order to recast the kid who turned into the dog. It went through this at least twice in its run, but I think it lost its credibility when they tried to explain that this magical talent comes at 12, disappears at 15 and just so happens to pick another random kid who just happens to be 12.

It's got it down as an 82-min movie as well on the IMDB, as well as a TV series. Also starred John Bowler as well who also turned up in Crossroads. Apparently the first boy (Eric, played by Edward Fidoe) never had another acting break after Woof. Liza Goddard did well for herself though - she was born in Sandwell, like me!

I love Nickelodeon, it's always been my favourite channel. But, they really have run themselves into the ground lately. Buying all these new shows and then not even showing All Grown Up! before CiTV have.

100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd and Caitlins Way are Nickelodeon shows, but are on Disney Channel. Only reason I can think they are is either Nick not wanting them or somehow Disney Channel being able to be sold the rights.

Believe me, there not testing the water with CiTV, thats the last thing they'd do. I have been in contact with Nickelodeon staff in the past as I run a Nickelodeon site and message board myself.

Before you comment - Nickelodeon-INC is absolutely huge with content, but at the moment were taking the time to re-do all the information. My friends message board emerald.bbboy.net/nickdisk might be linking up with us soon. Meaning we run the site, they run the board. But, we're still in talks about that.

The two people from Nickelodeon no longer chat there, but if you look in search, you might find some old posts from them.

I personally think Nick Toons TV has gone downhill. At sumemr they adopted their usually school holiday schedule of 1 hour blocks of programmes, as well as dropping some good shows (Real Monsters, Rocko, Angry Beavers etc...), the problem is, after summer, they didn't revert back to their "usual" schedule, so now we have the same 4 or 5 shows only running for 1 hour at a time (2 hours for the Rugrats at lunchtime).

And why the hell did NickToons never show Ren & Stimpy? It was probabally thier best effort and is sadly rarely shown, and when it is, it is shunted to late nights, often unscheduled, on MTV2 (and occasionally MTV) where no-one will find it. Probabally one of the few revolutionary cartoons of our time, just after The Simpsons, showing us that cartoons aren't really just for kids after all and gave inspiration to many new creations, not least my personal favorite show when I was 13, (and is still high up on my list of my favorite shows, especially after recently rediscovering it), though just like R&S is never shown anymore- Cow & Chicken. Maybe not as crude as R&S, but IMO a hell of a lot funnier, sadly it didn't run for as long (nor has as much of it been reelased- R&S has 11 videos. Cow & Chicken has 1 (actually titled volume 1- sadly volume 2 is showing no signs of emerging)).

Think they shot themselves in the foot with that channel, once they've gone through the original NickToons, they don't seem to have much else to show on it.

I like to think that they think that its unsuitable material for that channel considering its target audience, though I can't say I've ever seen R&S on the main Nick channel either. MTV have got it though and its offshoot channels, although as we know MTV's never been any good since it became "MTV UK" on Sky Digital. Its offshoots weren't any better...

I'm sure this Cow & Chicken cartoon has been on the Cartoon Network fairly recently, or maybe it was the Boomerang channel. Talking of them, I was quite pleasantly surprised the other day to find that Boomerang are now showing the Garfield & Friends cartoons which were once on Children's ITV. Never thought I'd see it again. Smile

Good to see ITV advertising SM:TV Gold during standard ITV1 time, after all the BBC advertised Dick and Dom throughout prime time on BBC1.

Another good My Parents are Aliens today, it seems to me that Lucy is becoming the main child in this series. Michael was also as funny as ever on the continuity

Everyone agrees that their schedule being full of double episodes and about 5 shows is disgraceful. But, they refuse to listen to the comments.

A proper trailer for SM:tv GOLD or the announcers doing it? I saw a My Parent's Are Aliens trailer just before this afternoons moving day, though I think it was just in central west. I can see them doing a lot of advertising in itv1 time for the new show. They can't really afford it to be a flop after they have axed something that is still getting resonable figures 5 years after it started, even though it's basically a repeat show.

Lucy is getting a lot of attention, but Josh & mel were still in it fighting for the affections of Brian, whilst sophie went out with herself.

Michael was good this afternoon making mistakes and talking about the crew. No one knew that Stella was the floor manager and Len was the camera man before Michael presented. I loved how when he was trying to correct himself after all grown up saying that he makes a few mistakes, stella chipped in.

I have in the past, it used to be on quite often, but it vanished in early 2001 and never came back, though the US Nick Toons used to show it until quite recently. BBC2 used to show uit as well at one point.

It hasn't. I've looked at the CN schedules for it, and the last time it was on was around a year ago (though it was shown at easter, it was part of a school holidays pick a show thing, so wasn't scheduled). It wouldn't have been on Boomerang, and I doubt it would be as it's probabally too new for them and even though it is made by Hanna-Barberra (the original idea of the channel was to show old HB cartoons), it's technically one of Cartoon Network's own productions (though pretty much all HB cartoons from around 1993 were CN Productions anyway, and after William Hanna died in 2000, the company was dissolved in Cartoon Network studios).
