I can put up with credits squashed up but CiTV really really squashes them up. If they want to show a trailer when the credits are rolling the why can't they do it like they done it ages ago. They used to have the credits in a square on the bottom right of the screen and a trailer/presenter in the top left where as either side have the CiTV website, address etc.
That was when they had the 'metal' titles. Does anyone remember the 'metal' titles. The Letters used to drop dowm onto the orageie dome thing. It used to be good. I don't know a single website that has a video of that one because it lasted only a short time. If anyone has a video then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post it here.
Thank you! LoveTV!!! Very Happy

Are they the quickly rushed ones introduced in feb 2002, at the same time as CBBC relaunched, before CiTV introdued the much better bouncing letters? There are some stills of this on ajb's site http://members.lycos.co.uk/cbbcidents/ . When CiTV did this though, like back in 2000 when they had it in the ovals, the credits were always in the smaller box, proportionally, the credits nowadays take up more room!

Anyway, hopefully, the usual Friday show tomorrow, Michael, Leah, Swag and a whole lot of time! Fingers crossed!

I've taken the desision not to even flick past ITV whent hey are showing a 4:3 show in cropporama. Whenever I see it it jsut makes by blood boil and it won't be long before I put my foot through the telly at this rate- though I will do if I find SMTV Gold is in croppy mode tomorrow. After watching though my TV card and seeing how thick the 14:9 black bars are without overscan has made me relaise 14:9 cuts off even more picture than I realised and has just made me angrier, especially when I think the eqivalent is also cut off the sides for 4:3 viewers, and then some for overscan. It is a stupid practice, and they couldn't get away with it in adult programming, they baely scrape through with clip shows.

Yeah the 2002 ones. I know they were rushed but I rather like those ones! At the opening titles the letters (CiTV) fell down and the 'TV' letters were together and fel either side. I love the backgroung, it was different than CiTV had EVER done before. I liked the music aswell! Why were these taken off for those crappy moving letters??? The studio didn't even match when those moving letters came. Can anyone explain this???

Thanks, remember if you know/have a video the PLEASE PLEASE post it on here!!!!

P.S Where the hell wre the Flintstones today, have they been axed???

They just a link which felt like old-CITV. It also had a wider shot of the studio. I'm still getting a Friendly TV feeling about it though. Perhaps some music in the background would be better.

Also, does anyone notice that when the breakbumper plays, one second of audio of the next advert is played, causing it to jump when the ad actually starts. I've noticed it twice now, with the same Coco Pops ad.

Also today Leah said that she was going on holiday for 3 weeks meaning it'll be Michael on his own for the next few weeks. Swag said he was going on holiday as well.

You can just tell how much time they have on a Friday as they even played the 'toybox' ident in full at the top of the show rather than the short version or none at all

What I want to know is where is everything! At the top of the show we saw a wider shot than usual with the background of paint splashes, and what look to be alittle desk with the logo on, we sawLeah in close up walk past this again later, but in between and at the end we saw the usual big CiTV logo, and no desk. I wonder if they will bring Kate or Anna back to present, unless Michael's going to do monday, tuesday, wednesday and friday (on his own Sad ), you never know, with beat the cyborgs replacing globoloco, we may have enouh linkage time for a presenter!

Where were The Flintstones Friday?

The presenters (michael&leah) didn't even say anything, they just said "heres what about mimi?". It was scheduled in my TV guide, and for next week! I hope they haven't axed it altogether, have they lost the episodes???
BRING IT BACK!! LoveTV!!

Are you talking about the "Be Part Of It" idents? Where they had the kids doing different stuff like on the mobile etc? Good Idea i liked them but where to rushed.

Looks like SMTV is still thankfully 4:3. Though after watching SMTV Gold it's obvious that Ant & Dec leaving was the single worst thing to happen to the show and it's a shame the producers never tried to coax them back, as they could have saved the show. I hope that one day one channel (possibly ITV Kids if it gets off the ground) repeats full episodes of SMTV, it would be great to see them again.

This morning's show was another good one, with such classic clips as "Anty and Decky" and a classic "Pokefight". Stephen and Des were also ok this morning, I wonder if we'll see more of Des after SM:TV ends.

The show seemed to be riddled with technical errors this morning though

Tell me about it! At first I thought I was my region or the whole of GMG North, But looking at HTV Wales, they are showing the same ad's etc too. There have been no breakbumpers or break-flash. It looks like GMTV in the moring, with crap ad's, no breakbumpers, and after 1 ad, and beforw another, instead of just all black, a little bit of what i can only describe as 'Fuzz'. The CITV dog was on/off a little too. Why does the weekend dog look ever so slightly different to the weekday one?

Yes it looked like GMTV were providing the ads this morning, they managed to cut off the sponsorship bumper almost everytime and did that frozen last ad with white dotted line thing like they do. They also seemed to start running an ad break early around that preview of CD:UK after Chums

This doesn't explain why the CITV DOG kept going on and off though, or why when Emma Bunton was welcomed on the Chums set, we saw the SM:TV Gold logo stuck on the screen or why the logo froze for ages at the end instead of going to the sponsorship. This is all the resposibility of the SM:TV gallery I would have thought
