Subject: [holly_willoughby] A mesage from Fame Academy

Hi everyone,

I've just received the following message from Kelly at Fame
Academy Surprised)

Daniel
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your email about your Yahoo group. I can ensure you
that neither Fame Academy or Holly are offended by your group - in
fact the screen cap of S Club TV gave us all a giggle one very early
morning when getting ready for one of our morning shows!!! Holly was
very impressed that you find such old footage, and is pleased that
she has many dedicated fans. She also asked me to pass on the
breaking news that she is going to move to CITV to present the new
Saturday morning flagship show - once SM:TV has finished in
December. She is very excited about it - but we are sad to lose her
from the BBC.

Anyway - it has been fun listening to your group - we will all be
leaving the Academy on Friday, just a few days left and it will all
be over again - how time flys!!!

Thank you for watching and supporting Holly - she very much
appreciates it!

All the Best - KELLY x

So it looks as though it could be true. I wonder if its a double header or a triple header. I think we're almost certain that Stephen is on board, and now Holly. Im not sure that they have worked together before, it may be interesting. I wonder if they're thinking of a two women, one man line up, as many seem to be two men and one women, I wonder why this is so?

Anyone have any guesses on the name of the show?

Having caught a couple of CiTV links for the first time in ages today, Michael and Leah really do work well together, don't they? Someone did well going to the permanent double header than a mix of people every day. They have that ability to have a laugh while still looking professional. One thing I don't understand, they apologised today at 4pm for being on later because of the rugby. Eh? I thought the rugby finished hours before?

The Rugby finished a bit late and I think the start of CiTV was a bit late although I wouldn't say it was that noticable to mention it.

The rugby was supposed to have finished at 1:40pm, but due to problems within the match, it finished around 1:45 with the lunchtime news starting just before 1:50pm. Everything must go, and Moving Day then ran 10 minutes late. ITV got rid of many trailers through the afternoon to catch up with time. CiTV came on air just after 3:20pm and went straight into hilltop hospital. They cut many trailers out of CiTV also.

Michael & Leah do work well together, mainly unscripted, they big on each others faults and tend to use the crew even though we cant see them! Its a shame that they are only usually together on fridays.

Great little ideas coming through especially the idea of michael (sorry the masked magician) performing a trick for callers to guess the answer. I loved the girl that said it involved fake water! It was the one with the cup, the tissue in the bottom, with the ice cube on top, you pour the water into the tissue and pour out the ice cube to make it look as though the water has turned into ice!

The trick has been featured on everything, Stephen's did it on the quick trick show, Dom did it on Blue Peter years ago, and on the last series of da bungalow, yet no one got it right!

I sat down to watch all grown up today, and was surprised as it was so much better than the rugrats. I actually watched it all! The flinstones was good, it seems the episodes are better now they are showing the ones with the well known theme tune.

Whilst reading Nigel Pickards speech the other day, its said that they would be aiming programming more at 6-10 year olds. I believe that these shows cuurently showing are very diverse, and good for them, my whole family are fans of my parents are aliens, even though none of us are in the 6-10 year demographic. Star is surprisingly good for a CiTV show, it would be nice to see more original CiTV shows, such as cartoons, I cant remember the last great CiTV cartoon. The animated show dont eat the neighbours was good a couple of years ago, and well made, its a shame they dont try and recreate these.

Yes this meant that Bing and Bong fans missed out on their daily fix of Tiny Planets today!

I liked the bit where Michael said SM:TV was on tommorow morning and then dug a hole for himself saying that girls didn't like rugby!

Why can't all CITV days be like Fridays!

im really getting to like the new look now, and I like fridays, as both presenters are on, and more studio stuff, but once a week is okay, as you look forward to it more, as they say absence makes the heart grow fonder

The new look seems to have worked very well. I still prefer the old set, as they could have easily used the basic shell of that to build a new one. I wonder what happened to the big screen?!

Michael & Leah should be together all of the time, though I do agree that fridays is special as theres more link time, and the producers seem to be creating little slots. Along with competitions like bag the swag and name the monkey, its looking great at the moment.

itv1 seems to be making the day with its duos: eamonn & fiona/kate & andrew, philip & fern, des & mel and michael & leah. If itv could get richard & judy back doing the same show except on itv1, there would be another too.

The new programming like you can do magic, and star are great at the moment, though more new home made shows, or returning shows would be great!

Well today's SM:TV Gold was quite poor. Unlike other recorded shows that are still done 'as live' this one was probably just recorded as a set of links that will have taken about 10 mins to do last Saturday, there was absolutely no atmosphere in the studio and Kim Marsh pulled a short straw appearing this week. I think CD:UK with Cat was still live though

It was also strange having an ITV1 ident before the show.

It was a bit dead as nothing was in the show. chums and dec says along with thats so raven took up most of the space. it was just brief appearences by stephen, des & kym. It was too short for sm:tv, though chums, dec says and thats so raven were all great. It was nice to have something on a saturday afternoon!
