Noticed the lack of presenters on wednesday again. And none today? There arent usually. They are making a serious cock up with it. The programmes are great at the moment, but the lack of presenters some days, and non the others is getting annoying. I hope that they dont axe presenters fully.

When they dont have in vision continuity, they have more trailers, they could easily get rid of many of these, they even play them over the end credits of programmes where the presenters could be. They could even on thursdays get rid of one of the storys on spongebob squarepants to create more room.

One of the main reasons is the lack of time as they have got programmes such as the flinstones that are longer thean citv shows in the slot previously. And nowadays they have to cut off at 5, they have got the design wars coming up for a minute or so afterwards, and they have adverts before, after and in the middle of every show billed in a 30 minute slot. The advert breaks are longer than they used to be and they have no time after shows on most days to do links. Which is a shame.

Another good one this morning, although I would have liked to see "Animals that'd knack you in a fight"

The extra CITV this afternoon carried normal CITV presentation, with the Stephen Mulhern and co CITV start up ident and the Goodbye Earthlings endcap.

The reason for the extra ads is probably because of the run up to Xmas, with all those companies aiming their toys at kids, so ITV1 are providing more kids ad breaks. I wonder how many girls will be asking their parents for 'Ello' this xmas!

Talking about ads on CiTV, now I don't know if this happens in other regions but Granada always shows the 0800 REVERSE ad (The one with Holly Valance coming out of a pool in a bikini) during CiTV, now how many kids will actually bother calling this number? Though I like this ad (Reason is in above brackets) but why do they only advertise it here? It wouldn't suprise me if some parents complain that this ad is shown during CiTV.

I don't know if this was mentioned in the early pages of this thread but I was watching ITV1 Wales, with a bad reception and I didn't know there was a CiTV break flash.

I see they just stuck three episodes of Pirate Islands together, or at least chop off the two opening sequences and two sets of credits. Seemed a bit heavy on advertising though I thought.

It also broke down twice the afternoon showing, sudden fading to black about 3:45 and then the bug disappeared for the next twenty minutes before crashing back on with visible picture jump. Or did that not happen in Yorkshire as it did here...?

It has been mentioned but I never knew there were CiTV break flashes either until it was stated in this thread a few pages back. We don't even get the ITV1 break flash in this region let alone the CiTV one.

Its starts tomorrow at 4, then on friday at 4:15 replacing the classic sabrina.

Nick starts showing new sabrina tomorrow, so it cant be long until sm:tv gold start to show it.

I wonder what they are going to do next week. Usually with two hours they have an hour or so made up of shows with an hour or so of voted sketches and stuff. So what will they do next saturday when they are on at 2:20pm and on for 1 hour (the shortest time ever given to sm:tv), will they show 1 programme?

I've already stated that it won't be a patch on the original cartoon IMO although of course the kids would be that age now if it was all real-time anyway. Shall watch though, might be pleasantly surprised. Even more so if Michael and/or Leah show up which I doubt but you never know..

Yes Leah showed up between all the main shows (at least after 4pm) just like CITV of old. Today's Aliens was a good episode too

Tommorow Michael is on with the results of "Name the Monkey". Laughing

My goodness, they still have a desk! Leah leaned on it today, it's got the cutty out letters of the logo underneath it. I'm sure this studio gets more colourful every time we see it...

Anybody any ideas as to when the new series of My Parents Are Aliens is starting? I know its this month but any firm date yet? How far down Series 4 are we now?

Doesn't matter, I found it out. New episodes start October 22nd. See the message board at myparentsarealiens.com has comments about the Cross scene in the Punishment episode. Dunno what the problem is myself but there you go.
