Well I've had a look on the CITV website and it says the reason for Starfinder disappearing is because it wasn't proving popular in a weekly slot. Instead they are going to show it over 5 consecutive afternoons, just like series 1. October Half Term perhaps?
This is also around the time the new series of My Parents are Aliens is due!
So alien week 2? I thought a space week would have been better, or out of this world, as starfinder isnt that alien is it! I expect they will try this, and they may find a use for the new set. Cant figure it out though yet!
Although that was Leah's last sighting yesterday as well.
It does sound like that Dave, do you mean she has left, or that no one was seen today presenting links?
Think I got everybody into a bit of a flap on my last comment.
When I said "last sighting yesterday", I meant her last sighting presenting a live link (although they don't feel live anymore but that's another matter) and that was at 4:30, never saw her again. I didn't mean that she'd left CiTV! Sorry to anybody I confused.

So they arent having religious programmes on neither? How come GMTV can have the time that religious programmes have, but CiTV cant!
Because CiTV is theirs and can do what they want with it whereas GMTV is contracted to a 205min slot daily and isn't ITVs to drop on a whim? Theoretically they're not supposed to be moving it from 6-9:25 anyway. Dare say it doesn't matter as long as they get the quota.

Though I was under the impression that [Starfinder] was all filmed in a big chunk like the other one as Michael introduced last weeks as Day 2, not week two!
Nah, looks too complicated and long-winded to get 5eps worth of that out a day, I think.

Well what do you expect when you run a daily programme in a weekly slot? It's not the sort of thing suited to a weekly slot anyway, something complicated like that means most kiddies tune in and have forgotten about it the next day.
Looking forward to the new series of My Parents are Aliens though! I do hope they've dumped the canned laughter track for Series 5 and that the writing is as good as ever. Must be good to work on as they're still on the original cast all bar one, the original Sophie.

What i meant was that it was filmed in a big chunk as in a week rather than an ep recorded each week. I didnt think they'd film them all in a day!

True. It may be a better idea to finish the series of in a week. It proved popular in the week, so it must have been that they didnt like the element of the weekly thing. Imagine if big brother was weekly, would we all still watch? I wouldnt be bothered!

Theres two or three weeks left of this series (i.e. last years) to go out, then we should be on the new ones. Where the only thing thats really different is that Josh's voice has broken! I hope they have dumped the laughter track. I dont mind live audience laughter tracks and some shows wouldnt be right without them, imagine friends with no audience!
I wonder why the original sophie left? Ive only seen her in adverts and now in the MB sponsership bumpers. But i cant remember what its sponsering. It must be a game of some sort I would presume!

Well its her choice but I don't think the show suffered for the recast although the new Sophie took a bit of a getting used to and of course they had an easy way out of explaining it storyline wise with the whole morphing thing, first episode of series 3 with the classic "Kid 1: Just act normal. Kid 2: Normal?! Sophie's in the kitchen eating grass!"
The original Sophie, she was on Roger Roger a few months ago.
An episode a few days ago was a flashback to when Brian and Sophie first arrived, and they got around that by having Brian and Sophie looking different and therefore played by someone else!
CITV have got a good line up at the moment, although not part of the core audience they are aiming for, most shows are still quite appealing

Bet they're glad they put the whole "morphing into a new shape" thing in now when they devised the series originally, yes?
Strange how a new Power Rangers Ninja Storm computer game is due next month - GMTV won't be showing it yet, because neither is Fox Kids.
Why are both channels so unpredictable that merchandise gets screwed up?
It is coming to fox kids, and i presume to GMTV as Jamie from up on the roof did a preview of it for GMTV & Fox Kids. it is definately coming to fox kids soon! And it looks to be the best series since the original.
Also on the new CiTV newsletter, just released, it doesnt mention starfinder, but mentions that the new series of rugrats : all grown up will be starting exclusively on CiTV monday 6th october. So perhaps this will be replacing globo loco with globo loco on thursdays. I havent even seen it on nick yet! Im surprised CBBC havent got hold of it. Oh well, perhaps it could be a good bag by CiTV. If its anything like the 10th anniversery ep of rugrats with them 10 years in the future, then it will be better than the original!
Grandad swag today; i presume the real reason is that the bloke that usually does swag's voice is off today!
And trailers involving removal vans with 'rugs a speciality' written on the van; could this be to do with the RUG rats moving from CBBC?
And a big CiTV logo has been placed over part of the set. It adds a bit of colour at least. Great to see abit of time given to Michael & Leah, and the fact that they are both together! They also played a clip of the SM:tv live, chums wedding ep. With Leah saying "Loads of celebrities there" (michael chips in with) "And Mariah! Not that Mariah isn't a celebrity, she is a celebrity isnt she?"

Probabally Nickelodeon didn't want it to be shown in cropporama format. Though I'm suprised it isn't airing on Nick first, seeing as it's thier show (or Nick Toons even, though look at their schedule now, even all the good shows have vanished- the are only showing the same 4 or 5 shows).
