I think the 3 Pirate Island episodes are repeats.

Perhaps the stuff they have been putting on is severly losing viewers. Putting CiTV could be different as BBC One have sport, BBC Two have the News 24 shows in the early afternoon then films and comedy's, Channel 4 has T4 then at the races, and five has teen programmes and the home & away omnibus.

If they give CiTV the slot it may get some viewers who dont do stuff on a saturday afternoon.

Probably because the Sunday morning slot is being lost for the entire Rugby World Cup period, plus GMTV are taking over the 5th October until 12noon.

Back to today, no presenters and no Starfinder either, we had "Loob Log Co" instead!

It was announced yesterday just before My Parents Are Aliens that Starfinder would not be shown today, instead being replaced with Globo Loco (it went under the tag of "Breaking News - brace yourselves guys"). Although that was Leah's last sighting yesterday as well.

So they arent having religious programmes on neither? How come GMTV can have the time that religious programmes have, but CiTV cant!

Its due to the time thing again. Its seems as though Mondays and Thursdays are going to be the no presenter days.

Leah said yesturday that there was the signal with the star ship had been lost so the back up programme (globoloco) would be taking its place, and said that the crew were all fine and well. So it was either technical trouble with the filming, the tape or someone was ill.

Though I was under the impression that it was all filmed in a big chunk like the other one as Michael introduced last weeks as Day 2, not week two!

It does sound like that Dave, do you mean she has left, or that no one was seen today presenting links?

They'll probably still fit the religion in as they need to to match the quotas, My Favourite Hymns is on at 12.05pm straight after GMTV on October 5th

I was wondering if there were presenters yesterday as I didn't tune in until 4.35pm.

It seems Starfinder has been dropped as Globo Loco is scheduled for that slot for at least the next two weeks, maybe the quota of programmes presented by Steven Mulhern was dangerously low!

hmm interesting. not the mulhern quota. It is lower than normal, though he now has sm:tv live (he's also added to the smtvlive.co.uk presenter list, finally!). Perhaps michael was over taking him, so he's had a word and they've got rid of his show. Or it could be a problem with the actual show.

Mulhern also has finger tips on sunday morning, and you can do magic twice on a friday, so theres no only tuesday & wednesday when he doesnt appear at all, apart from trails!

The versions mainly shown are disney channel are pre twice weekly versions when the new theme tune came in
etc etc etc...
though they may have changed that back!

When I last had the Disney Channel in December 2000, they were showing double bills of old Art Attack around the same time CITV were showing new 'Twice Weekly' ones. The first episode would be a recent one, usually from 1995 or 1996, and the second episode would be an older one with those older titles that really took me back. Annoyingly I never found out the date of these as the credits would shrink into a little box while the presenter would yap on about something or other. Do the Disney Channel still continue with this practice, and if they don't, when did they discontinue it?

Shrink credits? No. Presenter. I presume it was when art attack was part of disney channel live in the afternoon then? From 2001, the afternoon sport became known as Studio Disney, with Nigel, Jean, Emma, James & Jemma going with it, it basically gave them a name and a new studio. When this began the credits (during studio disney) started the ecp. The credits would run up on the left with the studio disney music (same for every ecp) and a voiceover of NEXT (presenter filled with whatever was the next programme), then the V/O of NOW (with the presenter saying what was up immenintly such as competitions, games, features and little 3 minute progs.

Now since the relaunch of the channel earlier this year, every Disney Channel programme that has credits that are NOT part of the programme have an ECP made for them. Studio Disney uses the same ECP's as the disney channel nowadays, which is a shame, as they dont use the studio disney theme tune over them, just the programmes.

Well I've had a look on the CITV website and it says the reason for Starfinder disappearing is because it wasn't proving popular in a weekly slot. Instead they are going to show it over 5 consecutive afternoons, just like series 1. October Half Term perhaps?

This is also around the time the new series of My Parents are Aliens is due!
