It was in the Mirror last week
MIGHTY TRUCK OF STUFF
REMEMBER we told you to look out for Mighty Truck Of Stuff, the excellent new kids' show fronted by Reggie Yates?
Well, it's just been decided that it will replace Dick And Dom in Da Bungalow on Saturday mornings on BBC1 starting this spring
You see, we know quality when we see it!
That WAS the original plan, but has been scrapped as far as I know...
Could this be the last ever My Parents Are Aliens? It looks like it by the looks of that trailer. And he did say 'Could it really be over?' as if it's ending.
I hope it dosent end because they can change characters.Maybe CJ and Harry are staying or they're all going and they'll be new characters in Series 8.
No, Tony Garender has said on the official forums that the show is continuing. Though, apart from him & Carla, he hasn't revealed who's staying on. In my opinion, if Lucy & Josh are lost, then it's probabally the end of the show. There's only so far you can mess around with the cast and the format before it becomes bad.
Well it'll probably be all new actors next year unless there's another plot change.
If no-one saw it today Mel came back from Canada and she found the frozen bodies of the real Brian and Sophie [and Barbara Durkin came back to play her]. CJ,Josh,Lucy,Harry and Mel all went to Canada with them.
The series ofMPAA has ended, and according to Tony Gardner, they are repalcing the entire cast except Brian & Sophie. Pretty much eveyone on the offical forum is in aggreement that this should be the end of the show, and series 8 shouldn't happen. I agree. MPAA should endo n a high- which this epsiode would was. We've all seen how shows have dragged on and the format and cast changing beyong recognition, and I don't think MPAA deserves that.
I've just finished watching it, it was pretty final wasn't it.
In the first few minutes I was worried it was going to be one of those 'it was all a dream' type jobs, but I think they managed it quite well.
Mel was back but it very strange seeing Barbara Durkin back, she hasn't been seen since series 2. Plus they even had a guest appearance from Mrs Reece! Good work by the casting department
You can tell it was the end of MPAA as we know it, with all family members, Pete, Frankie, Wendy, Trent, Mr Whiteside, Mrs Hardman, Tanya and Poppy Manning all in the final scene it was a very well written final episode.
If it does continue, it won't work without the likes of Alex Kew and Charlotte Francis
They should have left the credits to run today, although they did let them run about 5 secs more than usual today, and yesterday for the first time we got to see the Granada Yorkshire endcap at the end
Well i want it to carry on with new actors. If it finished, that could be risking a great new series.
And if it doesn't, it could become crap. I remember other shows which have had major cast changes, and become very poor. I find it unlikely MPAA will be any different. They should leave it where it is, on a high note. There's only so far you can take it, so much you can change before you end up ruining a show. And the fact is, 6 years, 7 series, 92 epsidoes is a good run for a show like this. Leave it where it is and come up with something fresh I say. This episode was very well written and acted, better to leave it there than have a series or 2 that could be very poor.
Well if it goes wrong they can always bring back old characters.
But with this big change,i would like them to get some new titles.I think they should have a zoom into the house, then clips from recent episodes morphing into each other, then a zoom into the school with the same thing, but with clips from the school. Then a new logo formation because the old ones got the old characters on!
And updated every 15 episodes or something like that.
Though I don't watch it appears MPAA seems to have a cross between
Mike & Angelo
and
Woof!
syndrome, it'll be interesting to see whether the Next series is successful or not. Even if it isn't, it's going to be repeated for years anyway.
