MOM asked Son of Dork to come back and perform for them on Christmas Eve along with McFly the other week. Also, did i see Christmas decorations on MOM this week?

Indeed, when they asked McFly to come back on Xmas Eve, I thought this was a criptic way of saying that they were recording the Xmas Eve edition that afternoon. But then today they asked SOD to come along as well so I don't know.

Stephen mentioned today that he is in panto in Croydon. Just had a look and he was on stage at 11am this morning so this week's show must have not been live. You couldn't tell could you?

Next week's show will either definally not be live or won't feature Mulhern. I doubt Christmas Eve will be live either.

The panto runs from the 9th December to the 8th January so they will no doubt be back live on the 14th January.

I would have thought Ray would be in panto as well, and maybe that's where the Doc was this week

Interesting. Very very interesting.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hopefully a new show will have a similar feel, especially considering that the Mighty Truck of Stuff is replacing Dick & Dom from April, i.e. no Saturday Show in 2006, unless they're holding that back for September (if Dick & Dom ends this series).

I don't understand why they've built up a strong brand that could be easily made better just to ruin it and start again. At least now we know why their 100th show wasn't a big deal!

Perhaps it was a case of wanting to revamp the show and so thought that they would go the whole hog and make a new one. I haven't a clue on who they will get to present it. With no kids channels having live cont, bar CBBC, there's no where for them to go, and there's little talent on CBBC for a Saturday Morning, except Dick & Dom.

It's a shame that CITV continues to go downhill, I'm just hoping that the introduction of the CITV channel will bring it back to what it once was. Was it a great brand, a production of great live links (taking out the 90's voice era), and a showcase for great original programmes, or was it just Steve's great vision which he now has over 'da bungalow'?

Probably, the did no faors for themeslves when they canceled Reboot and then went on to piss on action cartoons in general. (COUGHdigimon/pokemonandCardCaporSakuraCOUGH)

Doubt it somehow, if the CBBC Channel is anything to go by then the CiTV Channel is going to be run in the same way as the CiTV service is now; full of crappy looking programmes, crappy idents and a general look and feel of being on a budget so tight it'll kill itself if it breathes.

I don't believe the CBBC Channel has added anything to the CBBC brand; it's really nothing more than a variable timeshift channel for the main service with presenters who are more irriating than Jonathan Ross, something I didn't think would be possible.

I repeat, the last MOM broadcasts on Christmas Eve.

The new programme comes from the same suppliers, and will also be broadcast from Maidstone.

The cryptic way Greg has said this makes me think it's going to be the same team just a new programme. For example Fully Booked changing into FBi!

Maybe they are just removing the MOM/Ministry of Mayhem name issue that is a bit dodgy. MOM standing for something that it isn't, and the old name still featuring in the theme music but nowhere else

I can't see Stephen Mulhern being axed, considering he's been on CITV pretty much continuously since about 1998.

CiTV's christmas graphics are on! Last years again, but luckily they're using that trailer again with all the idents put together explaining the idents. And i'm watching todays MPAA on the DVD recorder at the moment and there's a special breakbumper!

Interesting.

I doubt that the 'Holly & Stephen' part of the title will remain that long, especially when it comes to holidays.

So basically it will be a relaunch for the programme. Plus what's a showdown got to do with it? Hopefully it won't be another gimicky show.

Good to see/hear/read that they're keeping Holly & Stephen, but what will come of Mr Lee, Ray, The Doc, The Hyenas, Snowy, if anything. Or will they all be back, except perhaps in a new set?

Seems to me it's just a rebanding/relaunch of the same show, rather than a new show, which you were suggesting.

Seems like it is more of a rebranding as the AB Lists for March still have it listed as 'Ministry of Mayhem'.

I wonder how much the set will actually change? do you think it will be completely different? they'll have to get rid of the large door that never opens and the Cakey Sk8 wall they never use. I hope the doc etc stay on. Do you think this show will also have a good theme tune or even titles? I might miss the MOM music though.
