I've been thinking that MPAA must be one fo CITV's longest running shows. The only shows I can think of which have ran for longer are How 2, Art Attack & Children's Ward. Anyone know if there are any more?

It's funny thinking how long MPAA has been on for especially with all the changes CITV has been through in the last 7 years

Just think, the first series was probably introduced by Danielle!

A presentation question, after the September 2003 relaunch and until Christmas 2003, what CITV ident was used to start at the weekend?

I never usually come in here but I thought i'd mention this.

It hardly seems anytime since My Parents are Aliens started. But then again, it doesn't seem that long since Danielle, Stephen, Tom and Andrea presented. I think they were the best days of CITV in recent years.

How old are the cast of MPAA now anyway? Must be in their late teens.

I know that Alex Kew will be 19 later this month (which means, judging on the show, his voice broke very late- he must have been 16!) and that Charlotte Francis is 16. Not sure how old Danielle McCormack is, but she must be in her early 20s.

Knightmare (1987-1994) ran for 8 series.
Mike & Angelo (1989-2000) ran for eleven years with three Mikes and two Angelos.
Fun House (1990-1999) ran for ten series virtually unchanged until CiTV killed it.
Oh yeah, and T-Bag (1986-1992) ran for ten series as well, with two T-Bags.
Elsewhere,
Finders Keepers ran for a good few years until that crappy revised version hit the screens in 1998. The show's due back though Sod's Law says they'll revive the crap version.

The first series will have been introduced by Stephen and Dannielle from the small blue studio, before the big set and before Andrea and Tom came onto the scene.

As for the presentation question, between Sept 2003 and Dec 2003, they used the Sept start up ident, the 4:3 version.

I never understand why they don't have a simple CiTV start up nowadays before MoM, even if it's just the robot!
Surely it's down to network centre, as they then have to play out the sponsership, thus why they never use CiTV break bumpers.

The MPAA new series trailer started yesterday and there's a few clips of a girl who's probably Harry,so if it is then now we know what she looks like.

how young does he look!

Well, he was only 12 at the time! Still, he always seemed to look younger than he was, not least because his voice didn't break till he was 16!

Can anyone capture a stereo sound file of this morning's MoM opening theme?. Its not different but the picture decided to break up halfway through the theme and i lost sound with it too so now my file has a big gap half way through it.

My VCR only went and failed to record Tuesday's episode of MPAA. Can anyone give me a synopsis of what happened, how was Mel's absence explained and how was Harry introduced, and what the basic plot was?

Mel has left for Canada on a student exchange thing. Harry first appeared in school and Josh, Pete & Frankie all wanted to take gher to the school disco. Brian went to the Children's home to get a "New Mel" and fosters Harry.

So does Harry know that her adopted parents are aliens then?

The MPAA website seems to have had a fairly large update (yes indeed you'll have to sit down in shock) www.granadakids.com/aliens with some new photos of the cast and some new interviews. There's no longer the flash credits though.

A little competion, when and how many times has the MPAA opening titles been altered since it started...
