It seems the new CDUK will focus on a new chart - "The MiTracks Countdown"

Emap and GCap Media are developing a new weekly music chart in conjunction with ITV's long-running Saturday morning TV show CD:UK. It will be the first where tracks can be voted down as well as up.

The chart will be broadcast on 65 commercial radio stations in addition to CD:UK.

Called MiTrack, the chart will go live to coincide with the arrivals of new CD:UK presenters Myleene Klass, Lauren Laverne and Johny P.

Viewers of the Saturday morning show can vote for their favourite, or not so loved, tracks on the CD:UK and commercial radio websites.

Tammy Hoyle, the producer of CD:UK, said the chart would be a better reflection of music people actually wanted to listen to than other charts based on physical sales or downloads.

"TV music shows that rely on record sales and paid downloads are not necessarily representative of popularity and there is nothing that currently reflects both the promo period and the sales period," she said.

"The significant impact of broadcasting across the UK's largest TV and radio networks and the interactive nature of the voting will deliver a truly representative chart."

The Capital FM managing director, Keith Pringle, said the chart would help commercial radio stations prise listeners away from BBC Radio 1's chart.

"In bringing together the powerful combination of commercial radio and ITV to share content and cross-promote, we are delivering real value to listeners and viewers, while levelling the playing pitch with the BBC."

Where's this idea that its not doing very well suddenly come from, its never been stronger. This time last year we were discussing whether we thought they would be recommisioned for a second series, now its almost a certainty that they will get a third run of 52 weeks to play with.

Have to agree there, I don't really watch kids TV at all now (too old) btu compared with the last tiem I saw it (when Michael was on there) it has improved alot (althoguh that's nto because of Michael's departure they've just ironed out the creases), especially like Ram Ray Very Happy

I'm liking that new cd:uk logo. Clever, I wonder what it will look like on screen, and within graphics.
As for MoM, it's a shame that it's going to be off air over Christmas. Couldn't they just pre record them all? Or just go onto air without rehersal! And why does Stephen need to do panto?

They couldn't go on air without rehearsal that would be TV suicide! Razz Would be entertaining though.

Is it actually fact or just a rumour though. Stephen did panto last year from what I remember, but was he still presenting MoM I can't remember. Considering that theyve pre-recorded alot of shows in the past it would surprise me if this happened.

So obviously couldn't get Chris Tarrant (Tiswas), Lenny Henry (Tiswas), Mark Speight (Scratchy & Co), or Ant + Dec or Cat. Some good names though regardless many of which still presenting kids TV today. How long has Neil Buchanan been doing TV for now?

Surely they can get Bro & Bro in. Hardly difficult as they are already in the studio anyway.

He certainly hasn't aged too much from it but it must be a good 22 years now!

I hope they can make some titles for the special show.Maybe there could be clips for the old shows on flying screens with the MoM logo at the end.

And then they could edit them to have presenters and characters in,and have snow and tinsel and things on the screens and the logo at christmas.

They haven't had a title sequence since July 2004 and they haven't even tried a new one or bringing back the old ones.TSS should have got one and maybe then they'd compete with their own!
